Same trip. Since both my DS and DD live in So Cal I'm down there quite a bit except maybe in the summer. We have a place in Tahoe and I just love to get out of the Sacramento heat! As I age the heat in really getting to me! Marina del Rey is sounding better and better to me!

My plan is to hang blinds, wash windows and screens, clean the kitchen and bathroom of our newly renovated apartment. I'm hoping we find a renter quickly this time!

It was really hot--low 90s.

The crowds weren't too bad. The longest wait time for an attraction was 60 minutes. Most wait times were 20-30 minutes.

That's why I love Long Beach! It can be 106 in the SF Valley and 76 in Long Beach. I know because I used to make that commute daily and watch my temperature gage drop as I got further south.

That's why I love Long Beach! It can be 106 in the SF Valley and 76 in Long Beach. I know because I used to make that commute daily and watch my temperature gage drop as I got further south.

We've been toying with the idea of moving south for awhile now. I know I want to be near a beach and Long Beach was at the top of the list. Seems to be the most reasonably priced beach town. But now that DD has moved to Marina del Rey we're looking around there. Both of my kids were in the Mid Wilshire area and I could never consider moving there .... way too busy for me. DS moved right downtown in one of the converted lofts .... he loves it .... me not so much. The loft is beautiful but I'm not crazy about the location. We have time to think about what to do .... not making any move until DD finishes her MSW program in Dec 2013.

The Jamborini meets are mostly before the 14th, but Jenny (rentayenta) and I are planning to get together possibly on the 14th or 15th. I'm at BCV for five nights and VWL 3 nights. I can't figure out which dates you are where from your ticker, but I see that you are moving around at least three times.

It's the 5th-7th. I made the reservation at 11 months for an event that I was gambling on. The event isn't happening, but I think with all we have going on in the next two weeks, we will need a break. We have a 1 br, so it might be another "educate Arline" on Disney trip. She still has a lot more rides to ride. She'll be moving in with us until we find her a place so today I bought her a pass for the Carsland/BVS preview on June 9. That should be fun!

Ok happy people, wish me luck - having lunch with my mom on Saturday and am going to try and convince her why we should book AKL 11 months in advance by renting points - I created a spreadsheet of all possible resorts, and only the values are cheaper than the value studio!

I'm going to get us some wine, lull her in with fun facts, and then show her the ridiculous pricing if we rent points. Hopefully you can add me to your 'who's going when' post by Saturday evening

And if she isn't sure - maybe I'll just pony up the dough and pay for it - my fiancee won't care too much - right? Right???

Depending on the rental points, the values may be the same as the deluxe! Go for it! You won't regret tye experience and the price probably can't be beat either!
