Hello All, I am new to the disboards, just went in March to WDW for the first time and now have become an addict to all things Disney! I have booked my second trip for this fall at AKL and am VERY excited! I was very happy to find this site. What a great way to pass the time until vacation!

I think if my DH hears me one more time tell him how excited I am that we are going back then I may find myself sleeping outside! AKL looks amazing, I can not wait to stay there! We have booked a pool view room, and from the looks of the map it seems we may either be on the Zebra Trail or the Giraffe Trail.....I was wondering if anyone has any tips on what request would be better as far as building/floor or overall general location. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Ann.... We are Vegas bound, it was our Birthday trip, that is a month late. hahaha

This trip is taking the place of Macchu Picchu since the foot surgery and everything we will not be able to make it this year, so we decided to go to vegas instead, David has never been.

I am sorry that you had to postpone your trip to Macchu Picchu, but I hope you will have fun in Las Vegas.

I hope Fran's surgery went well.

She decided that we could "count our eggs before they hatched" so hopefully all will go well. The Dr. was an hour behind so they pushed her from 11:15 to 4PM She sent me on to my massage and I'm not going back until she is in recovery because she hasn't had a sip if anything or a pain pill since before midnight!

No, I know that she occasionally lurks, but is not active on here. We met them on our Med cruise in 2010 and have stayed in touch. They helped us celebrate our vow renewal and we are going to stay with them for a couple of days before the Hawaii cruise.

I just checked and there is no cruise meet thread for this cruise yet.

This is a real nightmare that the surgery has been pushed back by so much. I hope that Fran is holding up alright.

Well they should be wheeling her in there now, hopefully she is starting to drowse nicely. She was probably one whirling dervish by the time they carted her off! Hopefully good news in a couple hours.

I am in my seat right now... Lower right orchestra, sitting next to my DH. He took me to triple D dinner for dinner prior, so far it has been a great date night...

Oh my! I'm shocked they would let things get so far behind. I hope she survived the wait ok. Hopefully she's not too mad when she gets out.

I often do that same thing with my eggs, hopefully you'll know about the sale soon and don't have to worry about it.

I just got the call she is out of surgery! I'm off to the hospital and they don't get reception in Same Day Surgery.

It's a commercial building and it's been in Escrow since mid March. They expect it to close by the end of the month so hopefully we'll know soon enough.

I have been out and about all day until about an hour ago.
Sure has been slow here at AKL Lite today.

Brandi hope you are having a super time at the show. Date nights are so much fun and great for the relationship. We rotate planning them, it is my turn next.

We're home and have been for a few hours. She actually has a good appetite, finished off an apple fritter as soon as she got home, ate a modest portion of orange chicken and rice, and we had strawberries and vanilla ice cream for desert.
