I think it's a joisey thang......Like totally, californians are too cowabunga and don't like relate to the whole like omigod cold weather sit-tu-A-shun!

 Where did that come from?

Musta been my Boston upbringing colliding with my beach going wanna be! :rotfl:

That made me LOL...:hippie:

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

I am hoping all our friends in the south and midwest fared well yesterday. Those storms were nasty!

Yes they were, my brother sent me a picture of the hail and tornadoes he had. Prayers out to everyone.

:wave2: My flight landed in ATL last night shortly before the storms struck GA. :scared:

Our area (Loganville/Grayson/Lawrenceville) had the worst storms (tornado warning) around 1:45am, but no damage to our subdivision. I haven't ventured out yet.

Watching the news coverage this morning is just heartbreaking. Although Georgia got slammed, other areas were literally wiped off the map. Too many lives lost. :sad1:

Stay safe everyone. :flower3:

That's so generous of you!:rotfl:

Where's the August trip booked? Home resort?

Home resort is SSR. WHich we booked at the 11 month window....but was able to do all 11 nights in a standard studio, just shortly after the 7 month window...Got my ressies in for at least 7 of my days...Just not sure if we're going to do TiW, or buy the DDP. Still trying to figure which would be better.

We have been moderate people last few years. Dying to stay here. Is it worth the extra $? What is the extra perks of this deluxe compared to the moderate? It looks fairly big, is it easy enough to get around inside? I am really thinking about this place, it looks so neat. And has anyone done the sunrise safari? Wondering if that is worth it...
:goodvibes

That's awful. I missed the news this morning so I didn't hear anything about any of the storms. It's terrible that so many lives were lost and lives damaged.

It's a great place to stay. I haven't stayed at many moderates, but the deluxes offer a lot more amenities, such as larger rooms, better bedding, nicer rooms and more to do and enjoy at the resort. The sunrise safari is something great to do at least once. It gives you a great view of the safair animals without the rush and whole back story. I would reccomend trying it at least one time.

Good Morning and Happy Sunday Js & Ks!! :goodvibes

Does the fact that I'm a former Bergen County resident count for anything?!! ;) (I know in some circles it counts against me!! :rotfl:)

I have had TIW for 8 years and highly recommend it! :thumbsup2 The DDP used to be a good deal, but over the last 4 or 5 years, Disney has managed to mess that up! :headache: (this is of course, just my opinion! :))

Wishing your family many happy years of DVC and "Welcome Home"!! :cloud9:

Bergen county....Hold it against you...Hell no..You're practicly family..LoL:rotfl2: Thanks for the kind words, & info, I'm going to still crunch some #'s just to make sure. We've typically gone during FD, so this was never an issue..& once you have FD you know you're always trying to get most bang for your buck...But in reality I'm not so sure I would eat like that...That's where the dilemma comes in.. Honestly After a big lunch & or dinner....WHY must I get forced to eat that choclate Cake..:scared:

It makes sense to crunch the numbers to see what will be best for your family. :thumbsup2

If you like "adult" beverages, don't forget TIW has the 20% off at most all of the lounges too! :cloud9: Also, resorts where there is no table service restaurant (i.e. French Quarter; Pop Century), you get 20% off the counter service/food court. :goodvibes

I'm feeling a little homesick right now!! (For both WDW and Bergen County!!) :flower3:

Yeah I just read on another thread about that, with the other values & POFQ.
What I didn't know is that AK you can also us it at the CS too...This may come into play the next time I'm planning my trip..
The fact that it will work at the Values & POFQ are nice, but honestly I don't see us going there just for that. If it were the other way around , and we were staying value, & hopping to a deluxe, maybe, but this way...Don't think so...right now its like 60 -40 in favor of TiW.. You know what DDp has is that it's already prepaid so when it's time to eat, it almost feels like you're not paying...LoL

Back in the day (lol) the tip was included in DDP -- it isn't any longer. :sad2:

Let us know who the winner is -- TIW or DDP!! :flower3:

That's what they want you to think, but at $42pp and you are limited to what you can eat, that doesn't seem free to me. We probably spend that much per day, but would never eat 2 CS meals, and we usually only want one TS entree & dessert, the rest we get apps at TS and split snacks to supplement our CS meal that we split. TIW wins every time for us especially with the adult beverages!

:thumbsup2 And didn't I read somewhere that it was going to $47/pp??? (or was that just "peak" times?) :upsidedow
