Hi again everyone! A quick update from my saga earlier in the thread. Nana and Papa who have decided to join us on our trip could not rent a studio at this late date at AKL.
They booked at CSR yesterday. It's not too too far from what I understand. They will have a car, so I am hoping they will meet us at AKL in the mornings and we can all go to the parks together. Seems easier than meeting at a park and trying to find one another. We're Canadian so we won't have cell phones with us.

I am still super excited about our AKL stay!:yay:
We've booked a dinner for all of us at Boma. And my husband and I LOVED Jiko on our last trip. So I think we will have a date night while the inlaws have fun with our kids. Jiko was probably the best meal I have had at Disney to date.
I am rebooking all of our dinner reservations to include 6. You know what? I am not finding it difficult at all!! I think the new policy for credit card holds for popular places, and the fact that it's not a free dining period are both helping.
Only 68 days to go!!

I am glad to hear that everything seems to be falling into place for you all. :wizard:

What information do you need. I am happy to try and find it for you.

What I'm curious about is the shore excursions in PV. Since we probably can't leave the boat in Cabo, there's not much we can do about that. I'm really interested in the dolphin one that you did, but also would like to know what else is there. My other friend did the ziplining and repelling one which I KNOW is out of the question for us, but I was really curious. If we can go, we'll be booking sometime in late April or May (after we return from WDW).

We got the recitals in and then we got the snow. It was big fluffy wet flakes and it is still hanging around on the trees and grass this morning. It was 60 here on Saturday and is supposed to get back up into the upper 50s to upper 60s over the next couple of days, so I don't think it will be around very long at all! :yay:

Here's to beating the snow! I hope you warm up soon!

We're already on the list for March...but we have added 2 nights at BLT (3/18 & 3/19).

With the airfare on Monday being MUCH cheaper, and being able to use our points for the hotel,
we thought we would relax from the week of chasing the Grandkids around and do The Luau and The Hoop-De-Doo just the 2 of us.

I made up a detailed schedule for all of us last Monday, then the next day Disney extended a lot of hours and added parades and shows.
Are they still likely to keep changing or am I safe to fix it now?

Tell us all about the HDDR! I'm doing it in May and hope that we have good time! We'll also be at BLT when we do that one.

Yay for plans working out! :yay: I too love the new credit card holds. We booked a Fantasmic Dinner package last week for our May trip and I don't think we could have gotten such good seating if they weren't requiring credit card guarantees for Signatures. I was also able to score a lunch at Chefs de France for the same trip. On both dining occasions, I had many many choices open to me which would not have been prior to the requirements. In fact I could have even dined at Le Cellier for both meals, and before I was never able to get into the place even at 180 days!

Hopefully they'll still provide you with the platinum gift. I think you get a different stateroom gift when you're platinum also? This year of planning has caused me to become obsessed. I haven't even gone on the first one and want to be platinum so I can go on the tours.... I think it's a sickness. I hope they do something really fun for you. The animal program tour sounds great.

Gold and Platinum Members get the same gift as everybody else, but then get an additional gift on the first evening. On the Panama Canal cruise, we got a leather document wallet and a luggage strap. On the Mexican Riviera cruise, we got the same, but also got some beautiful note cards.

The dolphin excursion was in Cabo. In Puerto Vallarta we did a Whale Watching, Snorkelling and Kayaking tour to Marietas Islands last January and went to Las Calettas in October. We loved both excursions.

You can access the shore excursions even if you do not have a cruise booked. You can see the description and the prices, but not the timings. Go to Cruises and Destinations, Port Adventures and then filter by port.

Happy Plus Sized Tuesday everyone!

Thanks, I forgot that your excursion got switched in PV. Well I guess the dolphin thing is out. Maybe we'll go to Discovery Cove while in FL in Oct. I'll have to go take a look on the site to see what there is in the port where we can dock.

Have you been to Discovery Cove before? It is absolutely amazing. We have been 7 times so far and are hoping to go back in November.

We have not, we were thinking about it for our May trip, but Fran doesn't think she is up to it yet. Between Oct 2009 and Sept 2010 she had two knees and one hip replaced. She is just starting to get back some of the mobility that she had 10 years ago (went way too long before getting the replacements), and doesn't feel she's up to DC on the May trip.

She is very afraid of falling because prior to the replacements, she fell quite a few times. It wasn't so much getting hurt, but the embarassment. She is afraid that people will think she falls because she is fat and not because her joints give out on her.

Good almost afternoon everybody!

It's a rare day when I can't get on here at least once, yesterday was busy!

Hope everyone is having a great day :)

Pigletto, I'm glad things are working out. I'm sorry the inlaws couldn't stay closer but with a car I'm sure it'll be quite easy. At least you'll have the room phones so can communicate with them that way when you need to.

I can absolutely understand this. Discovery Cove is such a special day that you definitely need to be in a position to savour every second of it.
