It is actually better still. Our vacation starts in 10 days, but my ticker is for the cruise. We are staying with friends in Seal Beach, California for 3 nights first.

Not only is tomorrow the day I can do the single digit dance, but my 7 months window for our WDW vacation opens, too. I am hoping to move the 4 four nights to Beach Club Villas.

I will try to post some on the thread. I'm so far behind on all of my threads, that I just skim most of them.

I received a PM from our dear Italian friend, Laura, this morning. her life needs lots of prayers and good thoughts right now. She has given me permission to share the message with you all.

Dear dear friend , I felt so emotional receiving your PM !! THANKYOU from the deep of my heart.
In fact I don't write on the DIS since a long time ; life has been hard on us lately.
After Christmas time Marco's Mom fell and , after the surgery to her leg, had 3 ictus in a row:January and February were spent trying to get her to "recognise" us , to properly talk ect.
When she was improving ( she is home now, but needs a nurse day and night) , suddenly one evening - coming home from visiting MIL - I found Marco at home - but he could not recall a thing of what he had been doing all day: global amnesy.
Cannot tell you how I felt : we have been blessed by a very happy marriage and now he was keeping asking me the same questions - not remembering he has asked them a minute before.
God helped us ; he stayed that night in the ER and , next morning , when the doctors let me talk with him, he was back to normal ! Doctors say it is a TEMPORARY total amnesy , it might never happen again ; most important , no brain damages . A miracle ?? Maybe the stress we had gone through.
Those days have been the worst in my all life ; still I thank God each day , when I can talk to Marco and see that he is "the usual wonderful guy" I am used to live with .
In March we had the last problem : I had a visit by the oculist : my right eye has a (serious ?) damage , probably the "macula" ; I am due to go under a special test this Tuesday . My visus is poor as for now- and it could become MUCH WORSE , I could even loose my sight.
So , all in all , I don't come often online - and I try not too "use" my eyes too much.
I have been teaching nevertheless all these months- and my sweet pupils helped me so much in trying to smile and have faith.
PLEASE , tell my friends on AKL threads that I have been thinking of them with great affection - and feel free to post my news on the thread itself.
Again , thank you for checking on me : I always feel that "FRIENDS ARE GOD'S WAY OF LOOKING AFTER US"! You are a marvellous friend ! and many other friends have helped me these months.

At least thru the misspelling you figured out what I was trying to say. Half the time my phone auto corrects to the wrong thing, then some times it will not correct at all...

I know my phone does that too. I find I have to add words to the dictionary, just for it to let me type them!

Yes, the original plan was Wilderness Lodge, but DH has set his heart on Beach Club. I have to admit I like the idea of being able to walk to Epcot.

Good morning everyone. I love that the boards are moving so much faster

I just wanted to put out there that I have 74 points left to rent that have to be used by 11/30 if anyone is interested. BCV is the home resort.

I wish we could use them. I love the Beach Club and wanted to stay 2 days there at the beginning of our trip but no studios were available.

I will be booking our April,2013 vacation next mth and I am short 2 pts for AKL 2 Bed Value for one of our days. I am trying to convince DH to buy 25 more points from DISNEY

Hello All - apologies for jumping into your thread - but I've read about 20 pages and couldn't find what I was looking for. I am taking my hubby and two teens to AKL end of June for a week. We have standard concierge level. I was wondering if there was a particular request that I should make (other then needing bunk beds for my boy/girl teens) to be able to 1. see the giraffes and 2. not be too far from the elevator/club lounge.

So excited to be going - I've wanted to stay at the AKL since it opened and FINALLY was able to do it for my dd's Sweet 16!!!

Please feel free to also share any of your favorite ideas, tips or suggestions

Thank you, I was just so overwhelmed and I couldn't keep it in any longer so had to actually leave the floor and take a break. But I'm so excited about CL! Thankfully I was able to click the continue button at exactly 8:00 so got what I wanted. It'll be perfect after the cruise.

Michelle, to our AKL Thread!

You should inform the Itinerary Planning Office about your room request. They will also make any reservations (dining, etc.) that you would like.

All the club level rooms are located on the 4th floor on either the Zebra Trail or Kudu Trail. These rooms face the Arusha Savanna --plenty of giraffes. The rooms are usually close to the lobby. The club lounge in on the sixth floor.

What changes are you wondering about? My first visit was less than 2 years ago so I'm not sure how it would have changed. Any specifics you want to know are the same? That might be easier to pinpoint.

Have you thought about renting points directly from DVC? That would only be $30.
