OK it is so bad today that I can't swallow without pain... SO I am heading to the Dr in a box this morning to see what is going on.

Ugh! Feel better quickly. Maybe it's something in the Orlando air...I've gotten to know the Urgent Care very well since I've been there every trip for the last three years. I told my doc that she was giving me an antibiotic before my next trip so I could fill it as soon as I got sick. ;)

Yes, allergies suck! Glad you are on the mend...

They totally suck!

As for my PT - actually it's stopped for now, my ortho wants to see how I can manage on my own for a couple of months - I'm trying to do my own pt at home, it seems to be going good, my range of motion is SO much better, I think thats why he wanted me to try things on my own - but, I go back in May just before the trip, so, I'm hoping I won't have to go back to "real pt" -

YAY - congrats on the maybe no more PT!:goodvibes That's a huge step. Just keep up your at home exercises and you'll be good to go. I think i still have every color stretchy band sitting around here.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts :grouphug:

Around dinner time last night my husband phoned my surgeon's office and 15 minutes later had a call back giving me permission to up the pain meds for a day or two. I got a good night of sleep last night and feel so much better today! Pain is managed now, PTL!

Yes, June will be my therapy month. Hopefully by July I will be able to safely resume my homemaker skills including food preparation. We eat a lot of fresh vegetables, fruits & proteins. DH perfectly prepared steamed broccoli last night to go along with reheated crab quiche I had made the day before surgery.

Thanks for all of your encouragement. And my best to those of you who are also dealing with your own illnesses etc. You are a fun and caring, sometimes goofy (in a good way) group of people.

Happy to hear your pain is being managed and your DH is handling meals and care of you so very well. A man that can cook is such a blessing! Rest and relax. Remember us goofy people will keep you smiling and laughing! :dance3:

I am so glad you went to the doctor today, hope they gave you some antibiotics to help. It sounds like this spring is going to be a difficult one for all with allergies or sinus problems. Take care of yourself and be sure to take a hot shower to clear your head as much as possible before flying.

AquaDame I also agree with dinner at Jiko or Sanaa. Both are excellent! My experience with both is a very unrushed relaxed meal. We have just ordered one course at a time rather than all at once. The servings are good size and a couple appitizers with a main course split has been perfect for the two of us with a glass or two of wine.
I agree with Brandi their bread course is amazing!

Alison Hope you are doing better today and things have settled down a little. How is Frans leg doing?

Wendy This is a very exciting year for you. Two grand babies and your upcoming trip. :woohoo: Wonderful to hear your feeling well with a better range of motion. Enjoy spring break with your family. :cloud9:

Good night all.

Ann

Happy Friday Jamborinis and Kidanites! Hopefully a dose of these will make everyone feel better!

I am joining you all in sickness - sprained my ankle while walking the dog. I have to say the pain isn't too bad, just sore, but what a nuisance. The doctor is telling me that I have to stay off of it. Hmm, 2 kids, dog, work, how is that possible? :headache:

Take care of the ankle.... Everything that deal with feet and movement, please take care....

Well I am not better but not worse!

I did not get any antibiotics... I don't have an infection, I am just having an allergic reaction, that is super sized, according to the Dr here.

So, I am on all kinds of drugs, and have an appt with my ENT Dr for next week.

I so can't wait to get on that plane this afternoon!

Wow! I'm shocked something down there could trigger something that bad. I always thought MD had the worst allergy conditions. Hope the plane ride is tolerable.

Oh no, I'm so sorry!! :headache: I hope you have an awesome team of stewardesses willing to make you as comfy as possible! Let us know when you are home safe! :flower3:

Thanks guys....

I have no idea what I got into, but as I see the rest of my co-workers and acquaintances from the conferences, we are all sick. Someone just told me that they think it was mold.

:rotfl: Well that is what I was told when I was little. :goodvibes It is really a beautiful festival which has gotten pretty big over the years. Here is a couple of links to my home town. :)

Glad to read you are feeling better Pam. Allergies and sinus problems are no fun.

Ann

Thanks for the links. I can't believe there's 200 types of lilacs, that's amazing! I wish I was closer, would love to visit the park.

Thank you, it has been a rough week but it seems to be the tail end of it.

:scared: Just the thought of mold makes my face pucker up. That stuff is dangerous.

I have no idea if that is true, but it is one of the things I will mention to my Dr.

I am hoping it just because of the mild winter we had..

The doctors in Florida have been treating me for sinus infections since the beginning of October. I finally saw an ENT two weeks ago. According to my CT Scan my sinuses are fine. He told me Florida was a bad place to live if you have allergies. He added a nasal spray to my allergy pill. Thank God, I'm feeling so much better now.

Hope you feel better real soon. :goodvibes

I think that is why they recommend the string, but it was such an awful experience. Who knows Maryland might be just what I needed.
