Thank you Pam. The bush was here when we purchased the house 15 years ago so it is pretty mature. I am from the lilac festival capital of the U.S. so I have always loved them.

Have you had time to start your trip report and down load your photos yet? I am sure you have been busy busy with just getting back. We all will be here ready to enjoy whenever you can put it together. Just don't make us wait too long hmmmmm like.......some people......who's name must not be spoken. :rotfl::rotfl::duck:

Ann

Oooohhhh, I didn't know there was a lilac festival capital, where are you from?

I have downloaded them all, it's just that the last day of the trip I started to feel bad, and it's gone downhill since. I was out of commission this past weekend, slept the whole thing away. I'll definitely get it started this weekend, really want to share the adventure. I will NOT be like someone we know :rolleyes1

I hadn't planned on adding the Sanibel Island part. But since you asked I could perhaps do that in a few weeks. Yesterday I had surgery on my right hand. Now I'm on pain medication (which isn't doing a very good job this early after surgery) and having to type with just my left hand. My DH has a lot of work to do for the two of us during my 3 month recovery period. I'm in a splint now and on April 11 that will be replaced with a cast for an additional 6 weeks!

So, currently I'm praying for relief from pain and full recovery for my hand. Thinking of all of our blessings helps a lot. We have so much to be thankful for. I know that God's Son, my Savior, will get me through what has been the worst pain in my life.

The Disboards are one of my happy diversions.:goodvibes

BTW, your lilacs are beautiful!

Sending prayers and hugs for a speedy recovery

But really all you need to know is that BOTH my traveling companions for my trip next month are fairly seriously ill today. :faint: While I won't say it sucks to be healthy, I will say I wish I could share my good health with my friends and family!

Thanks for all your concerns and well wishes!

Thank you all for thinking of me... I am not feeling well, even though i have been killing germs... :goodvibes

The foot is not happy but I have been resting frequently. It sweels very quickly.

Seems like everyone around here is getting sick. It's either the freaky weather (80 degrees to 20 in 4 days) or allergies...who knows?! Hope you feel better soon! :)

Hoping all of you feeling under the weather will be improving soon!:grouphug:

I guess Pam confirms that - I hope they DO update them at Kidani - and, did I read correctly that Jambo had switched??

Hope you all have a good week - 2 more days till spring break for us - YAY - and the new baby will be here on the 3rd - I can hardly wait!!!

Kathy, prayers are sent your way - I hope you start to feel better soon!!!! I actually DO know how you feel - I know recovering from surgery is a long process - after your cast will you need physical therapy? That has been the longest battle for me - but, I'm doing so much better, so just know, that it DOES get better!!!!! Hugs!!! :flower3:

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts :grouphug:

Around dinner time last night my husband phoned my surgeon's office and 15 minutes later had a call back giving me permission to up the pain meds for a day or two. I got a good night of sleep last night and feel so much better today! Pain is managed now, PTL!

Yes, June will be my therapy month. Hopefully by July I will be able to safely resume my homemaker skills including food preparation. We eat a lot of fresh vegetables, fruits & proteins. DH perfectly prepared steamed broccoli last night to go along with reheated crab quiche I had made the day before surgery.

Thanks for all of your encouragement. And my best to those of you who are also dealing with your own illnesses etc. You are a fun and caring, sometimes goofy (in a good way) group of people.

...and dang proud of it! :snooty:

....or, having a Nahtazu or two[or three, or four, or...] really helps.....well, that, or it makes you FORGET about that sore throat.

OK it is so bad today that I can't swallow without pain... SO I am heading to the Dr in a box this morning to see what is going on.

Kathy - I am glad you are doing better! Thank goodness your DH called the surgeon. Sometimes pain meds are really very necessary.

Brandi - You poor thing.

MMrules - :yay: for a new trip booked!!
