No Disney trip for DH and I this year....we did join the movie club/rewards club. So, we arent pixie dust-less!:/

Random..but does anyone know if Victoria Falls Lounge still sells the acai drink that comes with the seed bracelet??

The problem is that the Villas are booked SOLID. I'm even waitlising a night for during the D23 event in August. I had to trade out for a park view room at the PP Hotel for the Carsland thing. We might book 2 rooms for two nights later this summer and take our grind from Tulare that we were taking on this trip.

I know how hard it can be to get into VGC especially on such short notice. I was thinking more of the fall or winter. This is why VGC might be on the top of my list to add on. But it's also hard to buy resale points there. Good luck with your waitlist!

We'll be going back to AKL in August and hopefully sitting down to discuss DVC...DH wants to wait to talk with them after our trip next year because we're hoping to rent and stay at an AKL villa on our next trip, but we'll see how things go. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello and AKL is my favorite resort (tied with Poly!).

Last time we stayed there it was part of our honeymoon so we used that excuse to splurge. I'm trying to convince DH to do a split stay next year at the Poly and AKL villas because my parents will be coming along as well...we'll see how that turns out.

If you want to know how the DVC points work, just let me know and I'll try to help. I think your brother is telling you the BUY IN price - YOU WILL NOT or rather should not BUY IN for just ONE stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and NO you can't buy in as a first time buyer for any amount less than 50 (at least that's what it was when we bought our 2nd contract, our first one was not less than 160) - your best bet for doing a DVC stay is to RENT pts. from an owner - but, you'd need to figure out your dates FIRST, then decide what size of accomdations you'd need, that will determine the amount of pts. you need - as different dates/accomodations DO change the amount you'd need. Again, if you need help - ask away!!!

for example, the first weekend we're going, (May 18) a studio at Kidani is something like 13 or 17 pts. a night - so, if you RENTED those pts. at say $10 a pt. - it would be $130 dollars a night - and so on.

Hello! Welcome. I mostly lurk here too. We've discussed DVC.. but DH would prefer Jambo over Kidani (i think there are a few DVC, right?) we're just not sure how much we'd save with as little as we go... still very much an in the works thing....
