I recently asked my mom some questions about our trips to WDW in the early '80s and one thing she told me really stood out: When asked if my sister or I had input in our family touring plans each day or whether my parents just said, "we're going this way, be quiet," my mom said that there weren't as many choices then as there are now. Although that seems obvious, it should really resonate here. 30 years ago, there were two parks. No AK, no HS at all. No DTD. No water parks. There were two resorts: Poly and Contemporary. Actually, Ft. Wilderness (resort) opened in 1971, River Country (water park) opened in 1976, Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village (DTD) opened in 1975, and Discovery Island/Treasure Island (zoological park) opened in 1974. There were also lots of other activities to take part in outside of the parks, including concerts at the Top of the World Supper Club at Contemporary, massive arcade at Contemporary, train ride at Ft. Wilderness, water ski shows on Bay Lake, etc.

But if I am expected to pay more and more for the same ole same ole, and in my opinion, much worse experience, then it doesn't make sense to go there. We were there in March and that will be our last trip for a very very long time (maybe a new land or ride will built by then
I certainly didn't bother to post, but I was quickly bored and realized there wasn't anything for me. I would find it a bit rude if I did go and post about how awful it is (especially because I've never been there.) I would be equally irritated if someone went to the
