Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ Opening

Do they do anything special for ride open day?

If I recall correctly, Test Track had a fire works show right before it opened.

However I got to ride it the month before in a soft opening.

Hopen the mine cart would be the same but as of 4 days ago they still had crews working on it.

It's going to be a close call I would think for a early May opening if they still have people working On it but who knows. I pray it is open by the last week of May

If they're doing it right, they'll have people working on it until the day it opens. If no one's working on it, it's fully-functional. A fully-functional but non-operational ride doesn't do anyone any good.

Where's the entrance (or bushes) located? Near Pooh or Ariel?
If the star on the map marks the entrance, it's across from Pooh.

I copied 5 days worth of FP+ to my friend.

But on day 6, my Anna/Elsa FP+ would not copy. It offered a meet greet with Ariel. I was confused as to whether that would give both me and my friend Ariel though. I mean, would I lose MY anna/elsa?

I was worried about it, so I did not copy that days FP+. It seems to make you copy all 3 at once, no way to just copy one or two.

Wrong thread I think, but this is probably because there are no more Anna Elsa FPs for the time you already had. See if you can book that one day separately for your friend.

The longer we go without seeing any riders other than the ride workers the more I think that we will be told an official opening date on May 2nd.

Think about it...no CM, AP, or DVC previews yet. If the ride were opening officially on May 2nd, surely by now we would be in soft opening.

My thinking is that Disney will announce the official opening date on May 2nd and open for FP+ bookings for that official date and beyond. I believe the ride will be in soft opening after the dedication on May 2nd.

As far as the opening date is concerned, I'm guessing they will have it open by the 24 hour day on May 23rd as Memorial Day weekend is the start of the summer crowds.

Just my 2 cents for now. The longer we go without any word from Disney or soft openings, the more I just feel it won't happen.

Of course I could be completely off base and FP+ could open later today. LOL...

When does the new ride open at Universal?

Anyone else think they are slow walking this to try and compete with that opening?

Agree 100%. The rest of NFL was having soft openings and previews for 2 months prior to the "official" opening date.

1. When does the new ride open at Universal?

2. Anyone else think they are slow walking this to try and compete with that opening?

1. Just "summer".

2. Not me. I think I'm in a very small minority, but I've never been of the opinion that WDW was dragging their feet on this one.

I haven't set up any FP+'s for MK yet, because I'm worried about being able to get our SDMT FP+ if I've already got our 3 FP+ for every day. If I do decide to go ahead with the other MK FP+ before SDMT FP+ opens up......what will be the procedure to then switch? Won't it take a lot longer than going in with a blank slate to get the SDMT FP+? Should I be concerned about waiting to get our other MK FP+ selection booked?

Thanks!
