Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ Opening

I'm here now. Was super excited to see full trains running when I came out of my BOG lunch at about 11:30. DW and I went over and were told it was for CM only, and indeed, everyone being let through the ropes had to show Disney ID. That may have changed over the past few hours I guess...

Just returned from Disney.. tried to get on the ride and had no luck. Saw a group of people riding it and was told they were all CMs but were all dressed in plain clothes.

The CM out front basically told me it will be open for the 24 hour day for soft opening FWIW

Thanks for the post, I hope it comes true. We leave for Disney on Friday and will be there on May 23 for the 24 hour day. So opening to get on for a soft opening before we leave on May 25.

Boo....that's what I get for sleeping instead of hanging out at MK. LOL

I can't reserve my FP+ until September 1st, but when I do .... am I following EST in order to be eligible to make selections?

It was still the same, CMs only, at around 6pm today.

I would go from the Hub towards the teacups and hang a left when you get close.

That's what I was thinking, but since the CM's walk everyone towards A&E now, as seen on this pic. from FB,

do you think I have a better chance popping out past Stitch to get there? Or maybe the CM's walk out all the pathways to the lands?
I remember when the CM's would do that at HS for TSMM.

Just subbing here. I've been there every day since Sunday and it's still CMs only. AK today, but will be at MK tonight. They told me Monday that IF a soft opening happened, it wouldn't be until tomorrow, but still hoping. Leave on Saturday, so my time is running out to ride it.

I would just follow the crowd towards Elsa and Anna and then branch off to the 7DMT, I mean you will only have a handful of people with you and possibly 5 minute wait tops.

We went to a CP 8:05 res and watched the crowd come at us from the castle, it was hilarious but we went off to do other things since we has E&A fastpasses.

Really? You think there will only be a few people heading to 7DMT at rope drop on the official opening day? That's pretty optimistic!

I agree optimistic. BUT probably not gonna happen that way. At DHA for weeks it was TSMM was the rush. But the day the new Star Tours opened you coulda ridden TSMM five times with little to no wait because everyone had stampeded the other way. (I was there and it was a mad house. )

Spoke to CM working at the front of the ride last night. She told me that there would be no soft opening today because maintenance would be working on the attraction. Best bet was to try back on Friday. She also told me that they stop running the ride at 6 PM.

Visited MK again today. The train was not running at all. There were people in hard hats on the upper level of the attraction across from the Little Mermaid. There were also several landscapers carrying around plants. CMs in the entrance to the ride stated that there was still no word on any soft openings. Only people riding are CMs.

I just got an email about the first soft opening for guests being done this morning!

Can anyone confirm this? If it's true than that's so awesome for them!! :goodvibes
