Seven Dwarfs FP - any chance?

We are heading to Disney over Thanksgiving week and my parents are joining us, but arriving 2 days after we do. I made our FP+ selections a couple days ago and got everything we wanted. However, last night when I made my parents' choices, there were no more FP's for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on our MK day. Do I really even have a shot of picking one up for them just by randomly checking every so often? Our last trip was six years ago, so the old FP system was still in place (which right now, I am thinking I preferred)

YES!!! I had to change my park days a few weeks before we left and lost my 7DMT (for a family of 4). I checked daily and eventually got them! Since you only need 2 it might be even easier. Just keep checking every time you are on the computer!!

Absolutely. Especially as you get closer in. I have on multiple occasions been able to book passes for groups of 1-4 anywhere from 1-5 days out.

The hardest part will be getting passes that line up with what you currently have, but it's not impossible.

I can't comment on Thanksgiving week, but we were there at a pretty crowded time in June so it might be the same for you. I had to make separate FP times for all 4 of our family members for 7DMT and kept checking everyday to keep adjusting the times to get them all in the same window. I started with only 3 FPs and eventually was able to get the 4th one. Then I was able to slowly adjust the times to overlapping and then I also kept bumping them up earlier and earlier. So I went from 3 FPs with around 7 and 8 pm times and by the time I was done I had 4 FPs for 3:15-4:15. It took me about a week and a half to 2 weeks of adjusting to get that. So I would say it's possible if you are willing to put in the effort. Hope that helps

Yes, look for them one at a time, keep the time frame you need wide open. I tried for 3-4 days and got ours. I had been trying for 3 weeks to get msep and finally got it. Persistence pays off

Great, thank you so much everyone! I am on the computer quite a bit, so I'll keep checking. Ours are later in the day, 7-8, so if other people are bumping up to earlier ones, maybe I have a better shot. I'll keep chekcing.

We are also going over Thanksgiving week with a group of 26 so FP night was a long one for me! The A&E FP's were only available for the last two days of our stay and one group is leaving early so I wasn't able to get one for my niece. I've been trying several times a day all this week and just a little while ago, I was able to get them a FP for A&E so don't give up trying. People keep changing their plans and those FP's will probably become available. Just keep checking like everyone else has advised.

There are other options if you can't get a FP+. We visited earlier this summer and found a 10 minute wait for 7D right after Wishes. The posted wait was 65.

Using a late night strategy, the longest we've ever waited in standby for 7D was 20 minutes during opening week in 2014.

You do have a chance. I booked my Dad and I's fast passes for 10/13 only 30 days out (we're staying offsite) and we were still able to get them. Just keep checking the app! Or the website because sometimes they don't always show the same availability.

I just got them some! Of course they are nine hours earlier than ours are, lol, but at least they have them now. I will keep checking back to see if I can get them to match up eventually. Thanks all!

Splash and Thunder Mountain are better in my opinion but the ride videos you get with 7DMT is awesome on mm.

I have a really novice question (though I used the fastpass+ system for our January trip!). We have three kids 6 and under, so I do most of our fastpasses together. I wasn't able to snag SDMT or A&E for our November trip. Is the Disney app the only way to change individual fastpasses? I can't figure out a way to do it on the computer without changing them all at once. My parents are coming too, so it's nearly impossible to find fastpasses together... Thanks in advance for any help!
