Hey Dan........thanks for the info on the show coming up. Hopefully I can remember to watch it!!

By the way---love the pix of your Boston. Was raised w/them and love them dearly. They are the sweetest dogs!!

Thanks Traveler! I was looking for a Dachsund when I got her, and my now-fiancée said "What about a Boston?"

I knew NOTHING about them, but I agreed to look. I saw her and fell in LOVE with her. Getting a Boston was the BEST decision I ever made, animal wise! She's an absolute sweetheart, and is incredibly intelligent and was easily trained.

Dan......When DH and I met, I had a registered Boston Terrier that I adored. I had just ended a 3 yr relationship and she was MY baby and my Sanity! 2 yrs later after DH and I got married. I usually kept her in the house when I was at work but on days when the weather was especially nice I would leave her outside in the backyard in a kennel. One day I returned home from work to find her kennel wide open and she was missing. I panicked. Hubby had come home from lunch and PG was there. Neighbor said he saw a man in a white van in our driveway around 2 in the afternoon. A week later I still had not found her but had gotten calls from other people that had dogs missing too. I've not seen her since. A yr later I bought another Boston. This time I watched her closer and never left her outside when I wasn't home. One day she was outside and wandered off. I haven't seen her since either. My heart was totally broken. Hubby suggested getting a Dashund but I just couldn't let go of my Bostons. Now, 15 yrs later, I'm wanting a Boston, he's wanting a Dashund and neither one of us are willing to give. So we don't have an inside dog...but we do have an awesome Lab that we love dearly. I'm hoping some day to talk Hubby into another Boston. He likes Dashunds best. Enjoy your puppy. They are truly intelligent dogs and very loving---BUT they sure do snore!! And don't feed
her canned dog food. Doesn't settle on their tummy's very good!!! PEEEEEEE YOU!!!!

That's so sad! I'm so sorry! :(

And let's face it - nothing settles in those gassy tummies well at all!!! ICK! LOL! :)

Awww, I was looking forward to this, but I don't get the gosh darned Travel Channel here. Moving to Chicago has been great and all, but I want my Travel Channel!

How did you find out about this? I have been searching and no luck. Where did you get the info?

À la Britney Murphy in Don't Say A Word:

"I'll never teeelllll!"

One of the people who will be featured on the show posted the airdate on the Rumors & News Forum.

So I guess the closer it gets to December the better we will know.

Sorry I meant the closer it gets to August the more we will know. Sorry, I have our trip in December on my mind. :teeth:

Hi Fellow Boston Fans,
I, too, was raised with Bostons, then got one as soon as I got out of college. I bought her for myself on Valentine's Day and she was the best present I ever got. When she passed 3 years ago, we got another Boston. Bostons are the most wonderful, loving, fun, loyal pets.

TN Traveler, I would suggest getting both a Boston and a Dachsund and raising them together. They will be best friends and will be happy to stay indoors together when you leave the house. We dogsit my brother's pug about 50% of the time and our Boston just loves to have her "cousin" around to play with. Two dogs aren't much more work than one!!

Also, more OT, thanks for the VCR alert!!

OOOHHHH!! Thanks for the tip, I will have to write it down or I'll forget, We are leaving August 5th so it's timed perfectly!!!!

Thanks for the tip! I read about this on the news and rumors board awhile back when they were first looking for people to apply for the show. I had no idea it was ready to air already! Thanks!

Awww, we won't be able to watch it because....

we will be living it!!!:D We will be in WDW that week.

(with any luck I'll be able to figure out how to work our VCR and tape it...that would be a good welcome home treat)

I take it that this is a one-time show, not a series. Too bad because I could see where you could easily make this about 12 episodes long!!! (Can you hear me Travel Channel?!) I can't wait to watch tonight!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
