My mom and I are having our first Disney dinner on our upcoming trip at the 50s PTC, it will be the second time we've eaten there. Last time our server was amazing and got right into the action, and had us laughing the whole meal.:lmao: We are not shy people and would love to have another "interactive" server, so I was wondering if it would be appropriate to request a specific waiter or waitress?

If it's okay (has anyone done this?), who have been your favourite servers? Or does it also work to tell the host/ess that you are looking for a more "lively" dinner instead of a quieter one?

Thanks so much!

My family and I once requested the same server we had at Boma, because we were there for a 2nd time during that trip and he was a very nice guy. It turned out he happened to be working the 2nd time we went back there, however we could not be seated in his section. The only possible way is if we waited for a table to open up where he was, however we had already waited a while for our ADR and wanted to eat. So you can always ask when you check-in and see what they say.

Oh yes! We have requested Aunt Claire several times at 50's PTC. We have been given our request 2 out of 3 times. She remembers us, now, too! SHE IS FANTASTIC!!!! It certainly will not hurt to request a particular server - but do it when you get to the restaurant, not with Disney Dining.

We always did until she left. We had Audrey. She was great.

We had Patty and she was great. We had 5 children with us 4, 5, 8, 17 and 18. She was fantastic! Lots of fun for the grownups and for the kids! We left her a note of the fridge when we left. She was great!

OOOOH! Another vote for Auntie Claire, she's incredible! Unfortunately she wasn't working last year when we went and Topher was really interactive too. Auntie Claire is my favorite though. Ask to look at her family albums, we're the cousins in the photo that made her a "happy b-day" note in green beans :goodvibes

Our favorite is Uncle Mark! We ask for him every time. Anyway, this past April, when we got him, I mentioned to him about these boards and how much everyone talks up Aunt Claire. Well, he went right over there and told her and she came running over to me like she wanted to hear all the gossip:rotfl: omg, it was so funny! I gave her this website and she said she was going to log on as herself. I wonder if she did that? They're both a riot and so fun to be with.:thumbsup2

we had cousin Mikey in November and he was soo much fun:rotfl: he made 2 of the girls stand up and hold sugar packets on the wall with their noses, one for not eating her veggies and the other for laughing at her:lmao: He was way too funny:rotfl2:

I'm really happy to hear this! The second time we went we had a really dud server that just was not into it and I thought maybe they were toning down the experience.

We had Patty when we went and she was wonderful..also the cousin who seated us (not sure his name but he was nerdy with a camera around his neck) was pretty funny too

We had Cousin Patty a few years back and the next time we went we requested her again, she was the best. The time after that she wasn't working and we had a real boring server that barely even had time to get us our food! We haven't been back since that experience!:confused3

Another vote for Auntie Claire!!! I will wait for her....we love her!!! :lovestruc

Definitely ask! We had this one server, he was a hoot (can't remember his name, he was young and he always yells as he's walking through the restaurant "Its my First Day". Next trip, we didn't get him, got an efficient but clearly not in the role guy. We saw our other server and how much fun his tables were having and it made us wish we had gotten him again. I wish I could remember his name, I have a picture, maybe I'll post it later and see if anyone can tell me who he is. He was fabo!

we had him and my mother had to do that for looking at him cross..:rotfl:
He was so good we decided to go back a 2nd time...we requested him but he was off... we got some woman who was just like a regular waitress...no jokes, no antics...no fun stuff...
when they said Mike was not working we then asked for a "lively server" and that was what we got :sad1:

I can't remember our waitress, but she wasn't very good. I hope when we go this time we get someone really fun!!!
