I used to work with a lady who despised perfumes and colognes of any kind and would confront anyone who wore them. She'd asked that nothing with a scent be worn to the office because she was sensitive to them. She even asked me to speak to my boss (a VP!) about how much cologne he was wearing (that was a very difficult conversation!).

Ironic part was that she always burned a very smelly candle in her office - it stunk up the whole building and made my eyes burn. I tried to say something about it to her once and her claws came out!

it especially makes me crazy at restaurants. stong perfume gives me an instant headache. i've been known to ask to be moved or leave a restaurant. when i ran my family business, the employees were told that they would be sent home if i could smell anything other then soap or deodorant coming from them.

I hear ya on that one! We went to dinner one night and two older couples came in and were seated in the booth directly behind us. The one lady's perfume was so awful I could barely breathe without gagging. I was about ready to move to a different table when they requested to move. I think my coughing and hacking was too much for them! I just couldn't believe she could stand herself. It wasn't even good smelling perfume. It was nasty!

I have a co-worker who is very allergic, so we have a perfume free office (which benefits us all, really). There are some women who say they just have to wear perfume, because it is their "signature", and they come undone over it. I can't imagine risking your job to wear perfume.

Ugh I hate that. There is a nursing school in my building. The bathroom we all share is a nightmare to go into sometimes. They spray so much perfume, it smells like a house of ill repute!

I so agree!! You shoud be in the Junior High wing when gym class has been let out!!! I think the kids bathe in the stuff!!!

I think they forgot deoderant.

But we all share body spray in my gym class. Its normally one squirt per person. And yes, we have our deoderant.
