Dh tells me that while I was at the Doctors the other day he took the kids over to Petco for a while ( totally no biggie on that part LOL) he said " yeah we stopped to look at the cats and there was this really cute one that looks just like Kai" Kai is our big cat.
Then he says " I almost got him but they wanted $50 to adopt him and I didnt have my checkbook with me"

EXCUSE ME????


We have 2 cats, 9 fish, a big dog and are considering a puppy. You want to bring another Cat into the house now?

Dont get me wrong. If I lived by myself I would be one of those crazy cat ladies cause I cant stand to see any animal suffer. Me and the pound? Not a good mix. I rescue my animals but I want rescue all of them.

DH teases me about this all of the time. Then he wants to get another one?

Oy vey. Can we get through the puppy thing first? LOL

We just went to the shelter last Thursday and adopted our new baby Ella...she is our 3rd. We're slowly turning into "those people"..

My DH got our cat ON MOTHERS DAY for my DD who was 5 then. Umm hello thanks for the new job you gave me I wasn't into cats either, I was not too happy... BUT the kitten was ill from being born outside and needed a lot of meds. I gave them to her of course LOL !! She got very heathly thank god and now 5 years later, she is my baby!! She is the best cat ever! Funny how things happen. I neevr thought I would be a cat person, but now I am hooked!

See? This is my problem I am TOTAL animal person ( ok except for the slithering slimy types those are fine outside thanks) I got to the pound and want to bring all of them home I walk by their cages and sniffle that I cant take each of them home and I wonder if "their day" is tomorrow. ACKKKK


I love cats I really do. I would love to have another one some day. I just didnt expect DH to be thinking about it especially to the point of almost getting another one.

Kai is my baby. In fact he is staring at me right now because it is 10 O clock and its time go upstairs to bed. Guess Id better get!

Yep we are "those" people too! John is laying right next to me in bed now talking to HIS BABY CAI (Cairo). We have 3 cats, Isis is my baby, Cairo is John's and Dootsie is my mom's. Then we have 2 dogs and now John is getting a Miniature Pinscher in a few weeks.

SO that equals 3 cats and 3 dogs and 1 15 year old.....LOL!

I also have 3 kids. Theyre just not as furry at least not when theyre bathed regularly.


Im just kidding yes I would love to have another one...... and a puppy.... and whatever other furry creature ( not within the rodent family) that winds up on my doorstep. Theyre all welcome. Theyre like the neighbour kids they know who'll feed'em

I am not allowed to go into a shelter any more - my rule We had 4 cats and a Cocker Spaniel. The Cocker Spaniel died November 2003 and one cat March 2004. I said no more!!! Ever!! We now have 3 cats, a 120 pound Black Lab, an 80 pound mutt and a 20 pound 13" Beagle.

Another "sucker" here! I can't go into Petsmart and NOT look at the pets up for adoption there!

I have great resistance to adopting animals from no-kill shelters. I have to remind myself that these potential pets are the lucky ones; they're not on the street, they're getting fed, they won't be euthanized (unless too sick, like any pet). So I can go and visit the shelter kitties at Petsmart without taking one home. They need attention while they wait for their forever families. DH doesn't go in, because he's a bigger sucker than I am.

I couldn't go into a kill shelter, though. I'd have to buy a farm to house all the animals!

And Wonderfuldreamer, what a cute doggy! I can see why you couldn't resist her!
