Seriously...whats up with crocs?

Hmmm. I might have to give crocs another try. I bought a pair probably around 2008 after hearing about how comfortable they were. I wore them around the house for a while and although they initially felt good, after a while the arch part of my flat feet were killing me. I took them on a Disney trip just to use as pool shoes and found that when they were wet the edge of the shoe rubbed the top of my foot raw. I just assumed they were bad for flat feet and donated them. The ones I had were the original type.

I've gotten them pretty cheap at their outlet stores that are found at almost any outlet mall. I've seen them as cheap as $10 in the clearance bin, although $20 is typical. The other thing is that they last longer than almost anything out there. I've got 12 year old Crocs that are still usable.

They might be pricey for kids, but they don't require an exact fit like sneakers. I've gotten ones for my kid larger than needed, and then we can go through them for a longer time.
Yeah I think outlets or warehouse sales are the way to go here. Don't think I'm ever going to buy crocs at full price. Not sure I've ever bought shoes at full retail price though.

As for fit, I'm fine and my kids are fine with slightly larger crocs as their indoor "slippers". But that's not for everyone.

Exactly. My kids have been wearing them literally their whole lives. I've only ever bought them one pair a year. Since they don't have half sizes, we just round up and they last a long time. Once they start getting small, switch the heel strap to the forward position and you get a few extra months of use.

Okay crocs at least what they first came out with were so not cute but the thing I did like them is those jewel things you could put in the holes. Cheesy maybe? But I thought they were a cute accessory.

I think the newer styles mean the croc company is interested in nabbing people who thought about the comfort but didn't think the style was them at all. I'm all for the newer style.

I have these:

And wear them a lot!

Wow, Im surprised at everyone who said they were slippery! These really started as my rain only flip flops because they dont slip! Once i start sliding around I know I need a new pair!

I just joined the Croc bandwagon after resisting for eons. I now have a pair that I wear when I need to go outside after it rains and I don't want to put shoes on, and I plan on wearing them on a cruise where nobody knows who I am. I'll just be "the weird lady in the donut Crocs" :rotfl:
