We just spent New Years at the Boardwalk and it was a GREAT trip. I so much want to be back there right now. How do you adjust to the real world? We have a short trip coming up in June but not much to plan/look forward to yet. Listening to Podcasts and am playing with a Trip Report but I still wish we were back there.

Ah...We were ar WDW for NYE too! Wasn't it great?

We are fortunate to be going back in end of February! :woohoo:

I feel your pain...:sad2: We were at WDW from Nov. 21-Dec. 1, 2008, and I am still having withdrawals... and we aren't "suppose" to be going back until Nov-Dec 2009. I don't know what I am going to do until then :scared1:

I am trying to convince my DH that we need a trip the first week of June....wish me luck.

Anyway, I just surf the disboards ALOT to make me not so lonesome....:flower3:

Doing the 10 day dance........but yes I have felt you pain........well actually in 17 days will be feeling it again.

However, I'm pumped.......long story but in addition to our Jan trip we are also going for 14 days in March followed by another 14 in June

Got to make those AP pay off right:teacher: :confused3

I agree, it was a great place to be for NYE!!! Lucky we get to go back in March!
CJ9200, we were at BWV, too!!!

Did you attend the New Years Eve thing they had on the lawn at the BW? We had dinner reservations and didn't see if anyone went or not. Have fun on your next trip.

No, we didn't, but it was jumping when we came back after the fireworks at Epcot, around 12:30. I did get a survey to answer from BWV, and mentioned that it would have been nice to KNOW that there was going to be a party and at what time. Did you know about it before hand?

Just make sure you have your next trip planned. I get withdrawal so bad it starts at the half way point during my stay. Knowing my trip is half over and I have to go home soon is so depressing.

Dennis-

We were there from 1/2 - 1/9. I'm also having serious withdrawal and not sure when we'll be back. Actual temps here tonight will be 25 below zero  Last week seems like a dream - was I really wearing shorts?!

Enjoy the happy dance, I am jealous. First time in a number of years there has not been an AP burning in my pocket. It is good to know on your upcoming trip you have two mega trips planned in the next 6 months. Nine days is the most I spent at the World at one time. Two 14 day trips, WOW.

BWV did not say anything about the party. We had a view of what I call the great lawn and saw that they were putting up a stage there the day before. We left for dinner when the DJ was warming up and I went down to get us party hats and noisemakers. Here is a pick I took before it really started.

Thanks we are excited......the March trip wasn't planned (pretty much use it or lose it pts and lots of them), like I said long story and unfortunate family issue of why it got moved to when it was....but yeah 2 14 day trips in a row........that should be interesting. WOW just hit me 5 weeks at WDW on resort in 5 months time, again didn't really think or plan it this was just turned out that way:scared1: :woohoo: Got to trade into DVC thru II before they went to RCI for our June trip. Boy I'm going to miss being able to trade into DVC now that they are with RCI

Dennis-

I also start doing the countdown clock while still on vacation. Not much planning to do for the June trip. We are only going to be there for a couple of days and maybe one nice meal to plan for. Maybe that is why the withdrawal is so bad now. Need to think about a longer trip.

OUCH! I feel bad telling you this but I live in South Florida. I was in shorts today watching my daughter’s soccer game. I was wearing a jacket though. If it is any consolation, I grew up in Upstate New York and am two years removed from five years of living in NY City. I really miss the cold and snow over the holidays. Stay warm.

We were at the BWV for NYE too! It was about the 8th year in a row for us at the BWV for NYE. We don't ever tire of it, but do not visit the parks much that week. I did not see any advertising about the dj party, but in previous years, they would give you a paper about it. The dj party has been there every year that I can remember though.

We were at Epcot too. Will be making next NYE's reservation in 2 weeks!

I can see why you don't tire of NYE at the world. It was a great time. Also agree that the parks were not a priority because of long waits. We did what we wanted to do early in the morning and went back to chill at the resort or get ready for dinner.

Sorry we missed the DJ party. We had a pretty good view from our balcony and would have liked to see the festivities. Good luck on next year's reservations.

We were there over Thanksgiving and are leaving in 10 days to go again, so that helps, but I have been where you are. It is hard to get back into the swing again especially when your next trip is months or even a year away. We are going to be in your shoes after our summer trip. We are going to TRY really hard to go just once a year for a while. I am sure some of you that know me on here...are :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: right now because we have been like 3 times each of the past 2 years.....BUT reality is here now. We have a dd starting college in Aug. and we have a son that will be starting college 3 years after her. So.......we need to put our focus on that right now.

NOW having said that....it does not mean...I won't be planning that once a year trip or hanging our here. That helps sooooooooooooooo much when you can't go as often as you like. We are all so Disney obsessed...............it is so hard. :)

You sound like us...we got 4 trips off of one set of PAP's. We went Aug. 07, Nov. 07, Jan. 08 and July 08...then we had some MYW passes we used for Nov. 08 and are going in 10 days. :thumbsup2

We were there 12/12-12/20 and I just finished my TR, even figured out how to post pics finally....:rotfl2: Serious withdrawal, especially when it's 10 below (without the wind) outside! We are heading back for 8 days in Aug. and I've already got the countdown going. We are having a "planning dinner" with our friends in a couple of weeks for the Aug. trip and I just ordered the new video so that will help some. Still wish I was there though...pixiedust:

Dennis-

Funny--I do the same thing. I have a hard time not focusing on how many days we have left during our stay!!! It used to be easier b/c we never made ADR's--and didn't have ANY plans, so the days seemed longer. Now with the ADR's being such a factor, the days just seem to fly by!:guilty:
