Check tripadvisor.com for hotel reviews.

:surfweb: :rolleyes1 ????? Thanks for the advise but I have Been There and Done That....Just thought someone might of stayed there on this board since many people talk about where they have stayed..............

Hi - here to help!

We like to use Seralago for our "arrival" hotel. We typically only stay our arrival night because we drive in and usually arrive late evening. We really like the pool and hot tub area. They are both quite large, and the pool has a deep end. It is a much older hotel, I believe that it used to be a Holiday Inn. As far as I know all the rooms have exterior doors (I guess technically it is a motel).

We like that the rooms have microwaves and fridges. It is not too far from WDW. Our rooms have always been clean but quite worn. We get the entertainment book rate which is $39 a night, and I wouldn't pay anymore than that. I have read reviews which are bad, but for me I like the price. We have it reserved for our trip in May. I have seen pics online of the kids suites and they look cute.

I have learned on these boards that all reviews are based on your own personal standards. We haven't had any problems with our two stays there so far. You can also check the sub-forum at the top of the first page, I believe I posted a review there a while back.

Let me know if you have any questions and I hope this is helpful!

We are planning a trip in May also. I have the Orlando Entertainment Book, but I didn't see a mention of the Seralago in the book. Did you just call the hotel and ask for the entertainment rate?

Hey Jules123.....I see you like the Tenn Titans. One of the retired kickers is a family member Good Old #4...............From the Packers to the Oilers to the Cardinals and finally the Titans. What a career. Guess I will have to get the Entertainment Book

Al Del Greco is related to you? That's awesome!
I'm a HUGE Titans fan!

Okay I'm lost am I missing something??? Found it thanks DB for the info..........(so I'm a little slow) lol

You got it Jules.

Yes, you need to call and ask for the entertainment rate. I always ask for availability for my date, and if they have availability I then ask if they have the Entertainment Rate. I never buy the book until I know if I'm going to need it. They will tell you that you need to show the card that comes with the book when you check in. One time I borrowed my friend's card b/c I didn't really need the book for anything else and she was giving me the coupons she didn't use :cool1:

Jules123: I meant to say our trip in June, I just wish we were going in May! It is our favorite time to go, you should have great weather and lower crowds than it June. The earlier in May the better.

We stayed at the Seralago in 2006, just for one night. We have a timeshare, and were extending our vacation by a day, so we got a room at the Seralago. I agree with a previous poster about the hotel being older, but we found it to be just fine for our family. We stayed in a Kidsuite, and our girls loved it. There is a set of bunk beds, and a single bed with a curtain covering that area. There is a sink outside of the tub/toilet area, and a micro and fridge. The pool and whirlpool were nice. We didn't eat there, but the restaurant looked good. There is also an area where you can get pizza or other hot food items. We got lunch from there.

If you're not looking for anything real fancy or new, it is a nice place. There were no bugs, and everything seemed clean. And it is in a good location - not far from WDW.

We are going to stay there again the next time we go to Disney - for our arrival hotel before our timeshare!

I stayed for 3 nights, It is a great location for all around things to do. However the rooms really need to be updated, built in the 70's you can tell. If you have kids and need some where in expensive and don't care about what the rooms look like then go for it., the pools where very nice kept.. Do you plan to book on line, last time i book on line at Travelocity.com, and it save us a lot..I find a coupon for Travelocity.com, you can $75 off when you book Flight and Hotel. This is the link:

..Hope it helps.

We'll be checking in there this Thursday for 4 nights, I'll post about it afterwards if you're still interested by then. :)

I would say definitely reply back with your opinions. I'm sure there are others who will be there soon enough. My family will be there for one night April 16th.

As a side note, I got my room(s) on hotwire for $35 each. 2.5 star rating according to hotwire. For those not familiar with how hotwire works, you aren't guaranteed what hotel you're in until after you book, but the 2.5* location for $35/night I got was Seralago. (But again, the technicalities of hotwire indicate that your mileage may vary)

Our house was rented for part of our trip down for the annual owners meeting so we stayed at seralago. I posted a longer review on trip advisor, but I'll give you my quickie here... Stay somewhere else.

Hi all, were back. Well, the Seralago was okay as far as a place to come back to and get rest, watch tv, sleep for the night, etc. I felt highly ripped off for the $118 we paid (before tax) for the kids suite. Luckily my 6 year old son loved the kid suite part but 6 year olds aren't hard to please - there were bunkbeds and a tv with Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, what else did he need.

I'm not sure how they get away with calling this place a hotel it's definitely a motel (two story with outside entrance) on the bright side of that, we were able to park our car right outside our room each night.

The pool was just your everyday rectangular pool. There was a hottub under a gazebo that was actually working- bubbly and hot. There was a pool bar but we didn't check that out.

We didn't eat at the full service restaurant but did get lunch the first day at the counter service area (People's Choice Food Court) of burgers and hot dogs w/fries. Again it was okay. They had a large selection of pastries, chips, ice cream, etc. there, so you're good for your junk food fix.

They lobby was colorful, again nothing special though and had an arcade in it, when I went in with my son on the first day there and tried to convert my quarters to tokens, the machine wasn't working and they were putting up a few out of order signs on some of the games.

We put in a wake call for 7:00 the first full morning we were there and when I woke up and saw 8:00 something on the clock, my husband called to let them know they dropped the ball. (He was polite though).

The pool is inside the courtyard of the motel and if you actually looked past the mundane outside look of the pool and motel itself, the grounds (small as they were) were actually manicured neatly and kind of pretty.

I'll briefly sum up my feelings for the Seralago here (and take this as you will because I'm spoiled and usually stay on Disney property if I can help it). As I was sitting in the lounge chair looking around at the pool and hotel/motel itself, I started kicking myself more and more for reserving this place without having seen it in person. It was clean enough that I could see (though I made sure not to overly scrutinize) and had the basic necessities, but that was pretty much it. There was absolutely no magical Disney feeling to it whatsoever, but being it wasn't on Disney property, that's understandable.

So basically, I've come to the conclusion that I would rather go once a year and be able to afford to stay on Disney property then go on the cheap twice a year (which this trip still really wasn't at $118+/night).

Oh and one more note...do not eat at The Las Vegas Buffet right down the road, this place was beyond mediocre and the ad in the motel's info notebook was slightly more than misleading with what selections they offered. If anyone is interested I'll be happy to go into more detail.

Thanks and hopefully I didn't babble too much :)
