I'm just wondering, I've read such mixed reviews of NB that I wonder if the SL would be a better choice??

I think its pot luck to be honest! The last room we had at SL was dreadful, it needed painting, it was scruffy, the heating was perm on and the windows did not open! We asked tobe moved and they said NO! IMO I would go to NB. We have had far better rooms there.

~OMHO~ I detest the NPB, it's too big and clinical looking for me, and i am a massive Sequoia fan!!

I've stayed there several times and I've love it. Clean comfortable rooms, lovely views of the Lake (request one when you book or we have been lucky and just asked at reception and been "upgraded") the hotel is so warm and inviting....shame I'm in the Cheyenne next week but the kids refused to share a bed as there is an 8 year age gap LOL!

I've never heard of a refusal to change rooms before, I've personally changed rooms before as I was fussy over the trees blocking my view, and they don't usually make a fuss if there are room available. I've also know a CM to upgrade a hotel if there is no room available and the managers step over backwards to make your stay magical. Maybe QueenDisney had a tired receptionist who needed some Pixie Dust that day!!

I am another SL fan - stayed there twice once in a Lodge once in the main building... I LOVE that hotel

staff are friendly, close to the park and generally just brilliant :)

I love the SL although we are giving the newport bay a go for our next trip in a few weeks. I always take other peoples veiws with a pinch of salt as we are all different so dont knock it til your've tried it! My oh preferes the cheyanne to SL, we both didnt rate the DLH, i loved new york he hated it so we shall see..... But at the moment the sl is my fave disney paris hotel.

I've stayed at both and SL wins by a mile (or 1.6 kilometers).

We just got back from our first trip to DLP and stayed at the SL-definately liked it alot. We had a Montana room-2 double beds (maybe they were queens?). One light was out in the bathroom mirror but everything else was fine. Neat and clean. The cast members were wonderful. I think they were refurbishing a unit at the SL but never heard any noise except for people talking. The pool was quite crowded but fun. We did not eat at the restaurants but they always seemed busy. I think they are buffets. Had a drink at the Redwood Bar-great bartenders there! I think the NB is being refurbished as well but am not sure-we did not have a look inside. We want to stay at the Disneyland Hotel our next time-that place is gorgeous!
Hope this helps-Elizabeth
