I have never attempted one of these "trip reports," but I so enjoy reading other ones, I figured that I would give it a try.
My husband and I went to Disney last summer for our honeymoon, and we enjoyed it so much that we are returning in september. My parents decided to join us with my other siblings...ages 26, 16, and 10. Now here comes the funny/awkward part...
My mother, wanting to include everyone, decided to invite my husband's parents. Now generally, this would be great, but we happen to live with these parents. I couldn't ask for better in-laws, but I must admit that I was savoring the idea of a week away. But of course, they decided to come along as well, and bring the 4 other brother/sister in-laws along. So, now we are planning a huge Disney bonanza combining two very different families.
Initially, I was a little crestfallen, but having picked up my rather spoiled self (who could complain about getting to go to disney anyway), we are really looking forward to our trip. My husband and I got a crazy upgrade from the value resort to saratoga springs, so now we have our own little place, which is really exciting.
Anyway, I also made these tiny books that can be taken to the parks with all the CS menus in them (and disney pictures), so people can check out what they want to eat each day. It is my parent's anniversary (28th!) when we are there, so we are trying to get private dining at the GF for them as a surprise. I hope that it works out!
