I know it's hurricane season AND it can rain ALOT!!! But I was wondering what it's like (crowds, heat) the first week in September.
Thinking of going for a quick 5 day trip Sept 3 -7/06.

I don't know about the crowds but it's usually hot as blazes in early September.

The crowds are GREAT! :thumbsup2 I've gone the second week of September for the past 3 years. I try to avoid Labor day. Last year, the longest we waited for anything in Magic Kingdom was 20 mins. Everything else were walk-ons! I'm, trying to plan to go back the same time this year also.

I don't know, we have been there under probably every single condition, weather and crowd-wise. I think my least favorite was late August, and I bet early September would be the same. It was just so hot and rainy, it really took away from the value of no crowds.

Maybe we were there a particularly hot and rainy year, but it would make me think twice before going then again, if I had my choice,

then again, if someone dangled a trip in front of my nose, I doubt if I'd refuse whatever time of the year it was! :thumbsup2

When we first starting going to WDW all of our trips started the day after Labor Day. The crowds are lower because most people don't take their kids out of school that early in the school year. Yes, it was hot, but we didn't get any more rain that we have at other times. And one year we were in the Orlando area for 16 days during a drought and had only one quick late afternoon shower the entire time! Last year we bumped our Sept date up to October to avoid a hurricane. Well, guess when the hurricane hit last year? OCTOBER, on our check out day - wound up spending our DD time hold up in our room and costing us an extra day because we couldn't check out. You just never know what mother nature will throw at you - but indeed the crowds are lower and we liked September.

Hurricanes are a strong possibility at this time. The crowds may be higher due to Labor Day as well. Everyone is trying to get in their last trip before school. It is hot but not as bad as July and August. If you know about everything beforehand, you can plan accordingly and still see everything without any problems.

I love Sept. We're used to the heat/rain so it doesn't bother us. Last year it was a little more crowded in Sept. than previous years, probably due to the free dining plan deal - then again every time we went last year was more crowded than previous years :scratchin

Yes its hot and humid.

But the crowds are low. I saw lots of families with smaller children. We didn't see a lot of school age kids.

We enjoyed it so much, my DW was willing to go a second time. :thumbsup2
