DH and I (two adults) will be at the World from Sept 19-30. Do you really think advance ADR's are necessary for just the two of us during this time? I really want to take this vacation as we just do what we want to do when we want to do it. BUT, I think a trip to Ohana's or even WCC might be in our cards. How long do you think we would wait for a table of 2 if we decided to just take our chances and walk in. I haven't even set a day by day park schedule let alone mapped out food....I don't think I want too either, just let our stomachs dictate when and how hungry we are.

This is within the time frame of the free dining offered at the end of 2010 so yes I do think ADRs for most TS would be necessary.

I agree.

I just did a quick search for 'Ohanas between 5-9pm on your dates and found NOTHING available for a party of 2....on any day.

Wow! Thanks for the research. So do they just turn people away if they walk in? I guess will probably go counter service then....

I'm not saying it isn't possible to get in. Many people's plans change. Your best bet is to go right at opening and seeing if they can get you in, or you can try once you are there to see if they have an opening. They may or may not turn you away if you show up, but many people HAVE been turned away....especially during free dining.

It's free dining. If you want TS dining, especially in MK which has very few TS restaurants, you should probably have reservations.

Even without free dining it is going to be very difficult to walk into 'Ohana at all without at least a long wait. Dinner there is currently the most popular reservation on property.

As mentioned by pp your trip falls during the period of Free Dinning and most restaurants especially the more popular ones such as 'Ohanas began booking ADRs at 180 days out. You might get lucky walking up but I would not count on it, if it were me I would start stalking the disney site to try and snag the ADRs you might want, you can always cancel later if you do not decide to go to that park.
I have to tell you our trip in 2009 during spring break was a disaster as far as getting into places to eat, we had no ADRs except for HDDR. If you do not mind CS places and looking for a seat after standing in long lines(CS places will be packed too because of FD) then you will be fine.

Thanks everyone, since my original post we were able to score the free QSDP as Disney Visa members so it looks like more counter service for us anyway. I was just curious with only being a party of 2 how hard it would have been for walk ups. This trip is all about what ever we want to do when we want to do it...no committments. It gives me an excuse to go back to pick up all those places that will will miss and want to do....:rolleyes1
