I just calculated it and free dining would save us almost $800, that just almost pays for the airfare...if we drove it would pay for driving...I sure hope they offer it again this year.
No, never stayed there before. I am so excited I can't wait. Right now all my reservations are rack rate. I was hoping for free dining but any code will do.
Subscribing - Just booked WL Pool View Room with Bunk Beds for 9/24 - 9/29. Absolutely can't wait. Hopefully the free dining or another good offer will crop up before then. Also just found out a MNSSHP and 1st day of EPCOT F&W Fest are on the 28th
I'm with you Hollie. I'm hoping for free dining as my husband and I love to dine out at restaurants and being able to eat anything off the menu is quite a perk. Not to mention this will save my husband some money for my birthday. But if no dining, I'll take a room/package code. Anything to put extra money in pocket for other Disney treasures.
We stayed at CBR last September -- it was great. Like a beach vacation inside of a disney vacation. Very relaxing, last week of Sept., a few lovebugs but they were mostly congregating by the pools.
I'd be happy for free DDP or discount. Never stayed onsite before and looking for a good deal to encourage the rest of the party that having to move hotels during the holiday will be worth it (so that we can get to Universal/SW too without driving).
My family stayed there during free dining 2005- we liked the resort- we requested Jamaica bldg (and got it) great location, it wasn't preferred but across the parking lot from a bus stop, and around the corner from a quiet pool (very quiet- we only got in the pool at night- and no one was ever in it with us) We went to the big pool one night, it was very crowded and my DD3 liked the other pool better. We weren't in our room except to sleep, so we decided to go with POP next time (cheaper) but we liked Caribbean Beach- it was really pretty.
I booked last night, and the CM I spoke with was super helpful. He said they have done free dining last 2 years in a row in August - September, and he thinks they will be doing it again this year. He said to look for the announcement in late March or April, thats when it was announced last year.
Does anyone remember if there were black out dates over Labor day weekend?
My parents want to take DD and she has the 3rd, 6th, and 7th, of September off school so she would only miss 2 days for the whole week of vacation. I though the free dinning (if available) would help my parents with the trip cost and the parks wouldn't be as crowded as a summer trip.
