September/October 2007 Code, Discount and Rates Watch

I can only hope:worried:, I really wanted to take Faith.

Awww... how crummy! I'm certain the dates are right though. They've never had parties in September on any night other than Friday. Well, you never know, they added the two earlier Fridays in September last year for the first time, maybe this year they will decide to add a Monday or something during that last week of September. :confused3

Thanks for posting the MNSSHP dates! I've been going nuts waiting for those to come out!

I think I'll be hitting the one on the 29th!

does anyone know the dates yet for the magical beginnings?

Hello everyone,
Started to book for 5th anniversary trip. Noticed on Disney website that the only deluxe resorts with rooms not in concierge are GF and Poly. Anyone know why the dates of 10/23-10/30 would be booked? I haven't seen anything different than any other year.
We two are hoping for a code. Got married at Sunset Pointe 10-29-02 and going to spending this years trip on an anniversary trip fo just my lovely wife and I. We are leaving our then 3 year old DD and then 10 month old DS with my wife's parents.

Have a Disney Day,
The Angoffs
Jay,Monica,Alexis, & Zachary

In a word....."Happy Halloween":scared1:

The Little Ones Travel Time is September 6 - October 28 (I've heard it called that and Magical Beginnings, not sure why the different names). Other than the dates I don't believe any other information has been released yet -- EMHs or concert schedules. I'm not so patiently waiting for the details myself! ;)

I have been holding out even checking this thread, I dont have a trip booked....yet. I am thinking sept. 07 but if we can get free dining we will definately go, if not we are in limbo! So I guess I will subscribe and wait like everyone else.....:coffee:

Ok I'm new to all of this and I have been able to figure out things on my own but I cannot figure out subscribe? thanks

that if anyone posts to a thread that you've "subscribed" to you'll be notified by email. To subscribe to a thread go to the thread you want to keep a watch on (like this one) and go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and under that it should say "subscribe".

Hope this helps.

Any thoughts on which days are the best to go? Our choices are Mon the 29th, Tues the 30th or Wednes (actually Halloween)...

Is the 31st more crowded and crazy? Or is it all the same no matter the night?

Thanks!

Not sure if this question has already been asked, but does Disney ever offer free dining AND a code/discount for the room?

(I know it's far-reaching, but I just had to ask! :rotfl: )

Two years ago we were there on Halloween and it seemed empty. We were there last year on a Monday in early October and it was way crazier - might be luck of the draw.

This close to Halloween, don't be suprised if all are sold out. Just go when you want. We were there on a sold out 29th in 2004 and never had any problems. 2006 we were there in early Oct. on a Tuesday and it seemed packed. Just depends how you end up in the flow of the crowd. My best advice would be to go to Adventureland/Frontierland first and save Toontown and the Mad Hatter's Trick or Treat Trail til later. Hopefully then you will fall out of the flow of the crowd.

One change last year was that they didn't close MK before the party as they had done in prior years, and that might account for the "crowded" feeling. You couldn't ride attractions or trick-or-treat if you didn't have the wristband, but CM's didn't escort you out of the park either. :tiptoe:

HI. Quick question. We are considering going in October and I am not really interested in paying the extra for the MNSSHP. After seeing all the dates posted for the party, I am wondering how it works. If we don't want to participate in the party does that mean that the rides close at 4:30 when the party starts? and we'll need to leave the park? That seems like a little too early of a night for me. How does this work? What time does DisneyWorld close in October? I was hoping it would stay open later than 4:30, but maybe that's the standard closing time for October.

Thanks.

On party nights the rides stay open until 7:00 when the park closes to those without a party ticket. On non party nights the park is open later with fireworks and often a Spectro Magic parade. It's possible to schedule around it if you don't want to attend, and you can certainly go to MK even on party days as long as you don't mind no parade or fireworks in the evening.

Janeen-
We were there last year for MNSSHP and the park closed at 7pm for those not having a bracelet for the party. I am not sure if they could kick everyone out without a bracelet though. They did have people checking for the bracelets and I am sure the ride attendants were checking as well and would ask you to leave if you did not have one on. There is a special halloween parade and fireworks that evening, so even if you were able to stay in the park there would be a neat parade and fireworks. It rained when we were there so that hampered our experience.
We also went to MK the night they had Night of Joy and they were checking wristbands and making you leave. We just decided to go to another park to finish the day. You could always go to MK until it got crowded for the party and plan on having dinner at another park that would be open later. Or you could just skip MK all together that day and go to another park.

I can't remember if it was MNSSHP or P&P, but I know I've read a trip report where people WERE escorted out if they didn't have a wrist band. I remember that they weren't happy to be treated like they were.
