September Hours Question

We are going 9/10-9/18 and I was looking at the just released preliminary Sept hours. Every day of our trip there is no MSEP or Wishes. Is that likely to change?? Will they really not offer that at all for the whole week???

Normally, I'd say yes it will change.
This year, with these cuts being made, I'm not nearly as certain.

That will be just so sad if they don't add it. I was also surprised to see MK closing at 7pm 3 nights which would indicate MNSSHP. Seems early in the month to have that it 3 times that week.

I think that the Halloween party started on Sept 1st in 2014 (we went the first week of Sept that year), and Sept 15th last year. Not unreasonable for it to be happening the the week you are there.

We were there September 4 till September 12 last summer and there were no party nights. None during our trip. Don't bank on it.

We are also headed back in Sept and I doubt there will be parties then either.

I'm also going in September and really really hoping this "no wishes" is a mistake.

However, it's strange that they did add Wishes at the very first and last days of the month, because if they already have those dates planned out and released, why not the rest? D:

I'm not planning on going to the party. We went our last trip, so I'd actually prefer MK not close at 7pm 3x during my trip. I was just surprised to see 3 7pm closures. Josh on Easy WDW, says that the no wishes/MSEP might be because of refurbs and so they really might not offer them the whole trip. Which would really stink.

If I remember correctly they had several days where MK was listed as closing early and based on the MNSSHP dates of 2014 people assumed they would see it again those nights. When the actual dates were announced I think the first party was Sept. 15 and they rearranged the schedules after the announcement. There was another event held that month which was Sept 11/12 (I think) Night of Joy. I believe I saw something on Disney Parks Blog that because the 2 nights sold out so quickly the Night(s) of Joy would be offered for more dates, include MK admission, and they provide dedicated bussing from the event to MK. It may truly be that they are closing early due to various events being offered during your week. I would just keep checking as everything is up for change until they announce the event dates. It didn't start on Sept 1 in '14, I remember because that was during our trip and I was excited about the possibility, but once the dates were actually released, it wasn't included. A similar thing happened last year and there were a few early Sept 7pm closures and lots of speculation around MNSSHP starting early and it got changed to Sept 15 when official dates were released. I'm fully expecting the same thing this year and not getting my hopes up again (we always go the same week). If they throw one in on Sept 2nd, then it'll be a bonus, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, the same thing happened last year with all kinds of speculation as to the fireworks and early closing times for early Sept. Halloween parties. Guests didn't know how to schedule their ADR's it was a pain but then prior to scheduling FP's the schedule was "corrected".

This year the speculation seems to swirl around possible budget cuts causing changes to the schedule and probably will result in the same corrected schedule with little to no changes from prior years in entertainment and closing times.

Sometimes I wish I didn't check these sites as it just gets one all hyped up over nothing

You are right. I forgot that Labour Day was super early in 2014. We always leave on the Monday, so I just missed out on that one. And now I remember that's why I had my hopes up so much last year because Labour Day was late and I thought I may luck out with a date the first week September. Regardless, I'm not banking on it this year.

We'll be there 6-13 and I am so hoping they at least add Wishes. I can deal with no MSEP but no Wishes? That's a little too far.

I'm debating moving my trip up a week, because Sunday the 4th has MSEP and Wishes. I was originally trying to avoid Labor Day, but Josh's calendar doesn't make Labor Day seem bad.....

We're going in July the 17th -22nd and wishes or MSEP is not offered as well sure hope that changes we booked a celebration cruise on the 17th and now rethinking our plans I just dont see how they can not have anything planned during the busiest season!!

Thats what im thinking but I cant even book anything else as wishes dessert party or nothing and when I call reservations they have no idea what is going on very frustrating.
