Going to be there 9/5-10. No parks 9/5- arriving late. Ironically the only day with evening EMH in any park. But even without that 8:30 closings for HS and AK.. 9pm MK (on a non MNSSHP day) seems very esrly.
I have teenagers, I’m kind of annoyed. Seems earlier than previous years.

I'm going mid September. I'm trying to be positive that they will improve since they aren't great as is.

Keep checking back. The latest trend, if you can call it that, is for Disney to do a relatively substantial hours update about mid-month of the month before. For example, they did a pretty big June update on 5/11, and July update 6/15, and an August update on 7/13. All of those were Fridays, BTW.

Patterns are always meant to be broken of course, but keep checking.

Parts of Sept do often have some pretty short hours, but my hunch is you’ll see improvements for some parks during certain dates.

Shorter hours mean they expect fewer people, so I'd be pretty happy about it.
Well yes and no. Many people, myself included, enjoy the parks best at night. This is doubly true when it is blazing hot during the day, oh something like mid September in central Florida.

I really want AK to extend hours for Labor Day week, but I am not holding my breath.

I would keep watching. If the park hours don't change, they are not expecting a big crowd (not a bad thing). If the hours change a lot, it usually means it will be more crowded.

AK is beautiful in the dark, so early close there is no good.

We're there the 6-11 and are pretty bummed about the short hours, too, but we're just planning on spending evenings on the Boardwalk and Disney Springs, and cramming as much theme park fun into the day as possible!

Looking at last year's hours, they seem very similar. I will be there Aug 30-Sept 8, so I am also hoping for some extended hours, but not holding my breath.
September is usually the slowest month of the year, so stands to reason hours will not be long.

My boys are 15 and 12, so like you, we would love some late hours!! In about a week we should know if our dreams will come true...

I've been checking early September park hours pretty frequently, waiting for an update. I'm guessing the weekend of Sept. 8-9 might at least see some extended hours. Sept. 9-11 is Rosh Hashanah. Our school district has that Monday and Tuesday off. Some people might be taking advantage of that for a 4-day weekend trip.

I'm watching with you even though I'm not going until next year.
