OK, I haven't had too much luck so far, but I will try again for next week's trip.

Anybody visiting 9/23-26 interested in meeting for a round of golf? If you are a solo Disney gal who might be apprehensive about golfing with a Disney Guy, I am not concerned with the calibler of your play, but rather the enjoyment of your company for a few hours.

Gee Dave we miss one another on both our trips by days....I would have enjoyed LEARNING the game....oh well good luck on your tip and date...DJ

I guess we need to work on the scheduling of our trips home. :surfweb:

Too bad you are not going in November. I would play with you! I generally shoot in the low 90's... and love the Disney courses!

Wish I could join you for my 1st lesson! Have a wonderful trip. :wave2:

Do you have a favorite course at Disney? I will likely get in a round at Osprey Ridge, Eagle Pines, and LBV. :thumbsup2

Had a great round of golf in CT today. Now I can't wait to get to the Disney golf courses next week :cool1:

Hey, disneydave,

I see from your signature you are from both CT and OK - do you spend summers in CT? My favorite Disney course is Osprey...

No, I live in CT full time and visit Old Key West when I am at WDW. Osprey is a great course. It is one of the three that I will be golfing at this weekend.

For me it is a toss-up between Osprey and Eagle Pines for which one is my favorite.

Have you ever been to the course at Celebration, FL? It is a nice course as well. But I usually don't go there unless I am planning on golfing with someone specifically.

Have a great day!

Another great round today. One with a personal best for 9 holes (39). Can't wait for the Disney course. I will be at Eagle Pines on Saturday. :thumbsup2

Have a great time on your trip. Hope your golfing games are "up to par" (yeah, I know, bad, bad, bad pun). :rotfl2:

I saw Dave this morning.

He should be on here any minute with some great news!

Congratulations again Dave! :thumbsup2

Thanks Mike...Great to see you this weekend.

As Mike hinted, I do have a great bit of news about my September golf trip to WDW.

On the 7th hole at Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, I shot my first
hole-in-one. :cool1:

It was 129 yard shot to an island green. I made this ace with my 7-iron.

This was a truly magical moment for me at WDW. First, because I have been golfing at WDW since 1989, and have been hoping that my very first hole-in-one ever would happen at WDW. The second is that Old Key West looks out on the 7th hole at LBV, which made it extra special since I have been a DVC member at Old Key West for over 10-years.

Now I can't wait to go back in December.

I have no idea what all that "golf" terminology means ( :rotfl2: ), but congrats!!!

Why do I have the feeling Dave's next visit will be in a OKW villa overlooking that exact hole? :confused3

pixiedust: Hole In One! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: pixiedust:

wow! Fantastic! Congratulations! What an incredibly great thing to get your first hole in one at Disney! :cheer2: :cheer2: I am so happy for you! I wish wish wish i could get one. I have come so close - so many times, but no..... My uncle didn't get his first one until he was 73. I watched a girlfriend of mine who was a terrible golfer hit a 4 iron (four iron.... mind you) up a steep hill on a par three 102 yard hole in a big tournament and get a hole in one. I wanted to kill her. Just kidding. Well, maybe kidding. Well maybe not kill her exactly.... you get the idea.

Anyway what a whole bunch of pixie dust for your trip there, especially to get it on the course your DVC overlooks. Magical trip you will never forget. Way to go, pixiedust: pixiedust: Dave! pixiedust: And :worship: to the golf gods...

That's building #15, #64, and #63, in case you're wondering what buildings to ask for!
Congratulations on your hole-in-one there. DH plays LBV often (he golfs every day of our trips-to him, WDW is a golf resort, with theme parks to keep the "little woman" busy), so I'll be sure to share the good news. And building #15 has beautiful views of that hole, if you want recommendations!
