september epcot pin event advice??

Hello guys, although my wife has been collecting pins since our honeymoon back in 1999, she has never traded. We signed up for the September event and are very excited. I was wondering, besides the Mickey pin set (gift) is there anything else we can expect i.e. gifts or surprises?

Also, are there any in's/out's of the event we should know about? Any little secretes the public doesn’t know about?

The only surprise I can think of is if Disney doesn't find some way to make us stand in really long lines at some point!
You can usually expect to spend a lot of money at these events, but that's up to you and how many items you list on your RSP. I'm trying not to be too negative about this event, but it's hard when Disney shows again and again they haven't learned their lesson. The memory of that disastrous Friday last Sept. are still fresh in many of our minds!
I for one am giving them one more chance, which is probably more than they deserve. So, we'll see what happens!

I am hoping that they keep the "no-lines" policy -- as promoted in the event brochure and on the website.

I am hoping that there are a few more pins that aren't on the RSP #1 and #2. Mentioned this to a few DISpals.....how come we see pins for only about half the Epcot countries???? I'm hoping that may be part of the surprise.

One of the best surprises you may find . . . Is how much fun you will have meeting other DISpals, trading, and generally having a good pin-time.

Hi Scott...

some more information....
make sure you attend one of the seminars .. usually there is a nice pin for free !!!
There will be a new series of lanyard pins released ( so far we know about 33 new pins ) for event guests only... don`t know how we will be able to trade for them...
10 trade boards with 5000 pins... you can get in line for them and give the CM at the entrance 2 pins and have one or two minutes to pick 2 pins from the board to keep !!!
Lot`s of fun coming.. please say HI when you see a big guy from germany with a megaelch name tag )

Ok i will. My DW is going out tonight to purchase some greem ribon for us to wear. It sounds like this will be a great event.
