Hi everyone --

Just a quick note to say thanks to all forum members. I've gotten such good and quick replies. So here's a couple more questions for y'all...

We just booked ourselves into the Boardwalk Villas for September 12-16 (two adults, two kids). Got the free dining, but all of our first choice restaurants are already booked (yea for all you good planners; boo for me!!).

Was able to book a night into Spoodles and the Yacht Club Gallery -- both of which get good reviews, but wasn't able to do anything for our other nights unless it's a 4pm resie and that won't work for us (did books some breakfasts instead).

So, finally, onto the questions...how long should we expect to wait at either the ESPN Zone or Big River Grille on a Friday or Saturday night (both on DDP, but neither do resies)? And, does this mean that the parks are gonna be super crowded??

Thanks so much and looking forward to your responses.

By my count, you will be there 4 nights with 4 TS credits. If you booked 2 dinners and breakfasts, are you looking for additional oop options?

Just a little confused :)

Another option is a TS lunch and then a CS dinner or snack later.

ESPN is hit or miss, depends on what is going on sports wise. Sometimes the bar is standing room only but room in the dining room.

Hope that helps,

sorry -- that should have read "or should I book some breakfasts instead?"

thanks for the reply.

We were there the same weekend last year and the ESPN zone was very crowded during the football games. When each game finished, the fans of those teams would vacate tables, but there was always a line outside. I would suggest checking the football schedule for Saturday afternoon and try to get in between games.

Oh my gosh...I literally had the reservation agent going through every restaurant. The only thing that had decent time resies were things like the Moroccan restaurant in Epcot, Raglin Road and a few others -- the same ones over and over again each night we were there. I checked menus for these and, while others may love them, they just wern't our cop of tea. We did manage to get a 6:30 one night at the Grand Floridian Cafe. That looks okay and gets okay reviews, but I think we might trade that one in for a breakfast resie at Breakfastosaurus or Cape May.

Is there a board listing here that highlights reservations that folks may be thinking of canceling -- so that you can take advantage of them if possible?

I heard about the restaraunts filling up so I went into panic mode yesterday and made the phone call. I am not on the dining plan, which was the 2nd question they asked. Well, I wasn't trying to plan every meal and just want a few key bookings. I had no problems booking Narcoossee's, Boatwrights's, Fultons. Had a choice of dates and got prime times. I had a little more trouble with LeCelliers but was able to settle for an early dinner (or late lunch). So I am not panicked any more and all is good:yay: and booked.
