I had a trip planned for september, Husband and I wanted to take a vacation in february, so we decided to upgrade to ap's and do a trip for the beginning of the Flower and garden festival. This way we are just using points instead of spending more money.

I feel good about the freedom to do what we want in september because we are going back in March, I have viewed the refurb schedule as it is now, but does anyone have any suggestions on things they would prioritize in september or even put off until march? We are skipping animal kingdom now that we found out the frozen events have been extended so we can devote more time to HS.

Are the pools at the villas heated enough in march to want to plan some time by the pool? Thanks!

As a DVC owner your priority should be to take it easy, give up the commando lifestyle, pick a resort close to the park that you will spend the most time in. :goodvibes

What you don't do this vacation, you will do during the next or the next or the next.

We often go in March. Often the weather is good and swimming is wonderful. However, you never know. We have been there when it was very cold and we bundled up to go to the parks. Hey, even if you get a few cold days, you are still in Disney! Enjoy your trip.

We are doing the same thing! I got a whim yesterday and got on line and booked a 1 bedroom for a week at Boardwalk (March 6-13) for the opening weekend of Flower & Garden F. My DH's birthday is March 6th and he loved the F&G last time we went (in 2012). We are also going in September and staying at the GF and Animal Kingdom - Jambo concierge. We booked the last 3 days at AK concierge so we can do the Sunrise Safari. AK is our favorite resort. We love to just chill out there and relax. I am excited about the GF though! I have already booked a signature massage at the Spa. Being retired (both of us) we have learned the pleasures of Disney World as adults only. No commando (except with the grandchildren) and just doing whatever we feel like whenever we feel like it! I will be returning with my 2 youngest grandchildren next summer, so it will be a very different trip. Two 12 year old boys will keep me hopping. I have learned to take my grandchildren in "age groups" - much easier.

Thanks! we are new to DVC so we are not yet used to the idea of not squeezing in every possible thing. I feel better about just totally ditching animal kingdom this trip now!

Now your getting it. :thumbsup2

Pretty soon you will be buying 10 day non-expiration passes and stretching them out over 2 or 3 vacations.

You have years of Disney vacations, it isn't going anywhere and how may times can you ride the same rides?

We look at the crowd projections by park and decide when to go. Believe it or not we often sleep in, one Thanksgiving we cooked a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings then had desert on our balcony overlooking the Boardwalk.

What a life. :cloud9:
