September Airfaires

Right now Song (Delta) is offering airfare from CT to Orlando for $79 each way. Is this a good price for northeast to Orlando in September? I've never flown to Florida in September before and am used to the $49 fares that come around now and then. Is it realistic to wait and get a fare cheaper than $79 for September (not Labor Day weekend)?

September has often yeilded some of the lowest fares, mostly because of hurricane season. Just this morning southwest started running a great sale. I, personally, would hold tight because when one carrier drops their fares, other carriers will often match these offers. This is just my opinion, but you should do what you are comfortable with.

QuickGold go to SWA immediately! They are offering $49 fares from both Bradley and PVD to Orlando.

Just as I posted this I saw the SWA sale (thanks for letting me know about it nonetheless Debbie) but I prefer Song to SWA because I'm a nervous (when I say nervous I really mean terrified) flyer so I like Song's TV's as they help me to forget about the fact I'm 30000 feet in the air.

Someone posted on another thread there were lower fares now being announced on other airlines (the link was to travelzoo.com). I'd just keep checking Song (or maybe JetBlue?) - maybe they'll jump on board!!

Song's price on one leg dropped to $49 but the return leg is still $79. JetBlue doesn't fly from Hartford unfortunately.
