Late spring 2025 incentives (April 29-July 14)

Bookings are distinct from sales though. I just glanced at a different thread @maui22 is keeping suggesting sales have really slowed down over the past couple weeks.

With the stock market rocketing higher lately, I also am not expecting recession level incentives, but if it’s a slow summer at WDW and interest rates don’t come down, we might get slightly better incentives or a flash sale of some kind?
But if bookings are holding up it may mean that the unsold/undeclared DVC inventory is being snapped up by cash buyers and is therefore still profitable.

🤷🏼‍♀️ I have too many WDW DVC points so I haven’t paid attention to hotel promos…but I think many run until later in the year.
Yeah it’s too early for Disney to run widespread fall discounts.

Most of the current promos end 7/31 or a week after Labor Day, but there is one through early October.

I had a quick look over the D23 gold $500 promo in the members box. Pretty sure its exactly as it was before when It was listed on the DVC site.

As a Florida resident who did direct and might do more - you are really underestimating how much I love the locked out resorts! Riviera looks amazing, lazy river at the Lakeshore Lodge, Cabins could be fun for the kids, and anything new that comes in the future...that's the perks of direct!
I agree … when you live here (Orlando) everyone has an annual pass, teenage girls have sleepovers at OKW with their school friends, but the locked out resort feel a bit more “special” 🤣 you have to own direct for that.

Free dining for kids 3-9 at WDW. Purchase through 2026. That isn’t normal. (Only know because my niece kept asking why she couldn’t get this for the room we are gifting her in December 2025).

And that is like the free waterpark. It will be combinable with hotel discounts. So, that alone means they are working hard to push the 2026 trips!

Round 1 -
  • Was shown the pricing without Annual Passholder Credit and I complained it was too high.

Round 2 -
  • Was asked if we are passholders
  • Was shown the table above with Passholder credit.
  • Asked about MB was was told it's for 150+ points.
  • I said I don't like the pricing for 150 points because it's $216/pt vs $213/pt for 100 points. Guide claimed that's impossible because the "incentives go up the more you buy".
  • I tried to explain that yes, a $9 discount is bigger than a $7/pt discount, but it's because of the fixed $1500 credit that is $15/pt at 100 points but $10/pt at 150 points. The guide seemed genuinely surprised by that math.
  • Then the guide tried to convince me to go for $100 points and added that MB is a pretty bad deal because the cash value of the points is much higher, so you are much better off keeping the points.
  • I said I would consider 100 points only with MB, and added that if MB is such a bad deal for me, then it must be a great deal for DVC because of the higher cash value of the points... was told (as expected) that it's not possible.
  • I said we'll wait for better pricing and was told PIT will sell out very soon and prices are likely to go up, not down....

Overall, a decent experience compared to the higher pressure sales pitches at Marriott. But they will still say what they think you want to hear (and sometimes it's not 100% accurate) in order to close the sale...

Sounds like my recent experience as well

At the 150 mark, points, as you describe above, are $216 with all discounts (minus MB). Over at CCV, you can get resale for $120. There was even a contract on the ROFR list for $116 not that long ago. I'm having trouble believing that the benefit of direct is worth $100 per point or $15k for 150 points.

PS I'd sorta love for it to sell out soon (even though I think we have a couple more years to go) because every time I'm at Poly Tower, there's five to six DVC guides taking up prime real estate in the lobby. Last time I was there, one of them, after I explained I was staying in the tower, asked, "Would you like to take a tour of the model room?" Then I said, "I think it would look just like the room I'm staying in." Momentarily confused, she said, "Good point."
