Just booked this cruise last week . Hope some more DIS families will be sailing also! :sunny:
P.S. This is the 3 day cruise right after the Member cruise.

We're booked and counting the days! I've already put in my request to the "powers that be" for calm seas! This will be our first cruise so I'm burning up the websites for information and tips. Looking forward to sharing info with fellow mateys. pirate:

PrincessLuvers- I'm glad to see someone is on this cruise. I too am hoping for calm seas. We have a count down going already for the kids. Feel free to ask any ?s. Chris

I'm finding so much great advice on the internet that my questions might be a bit trivial. Like... I've read where I can "borrow" sand toys from the ship whereas other sites recommend bringing my own as very expensive to buy. Which is correct?

Also, is there an age limit to the snorkeling area on CC? We plan on bringing our kid's own equipment.

I have a DD6 and a DD4. DH and DM also on board. DM and myself are prone to seasickness and will come armed. What about the kids... what is best to do for them before or during?

Any tips, to do's, to avoids for our travels with the kids greatly appreciated!

I think Disney has a age limit for snorkeling. ( age 8 and up.) So bring your owen gear for the kids. They can snorkel at the family beach. They will have to wear one of the yellow vest to snorkel. You can pick one up at the lifeguard stand.
I have heard that you can barrow sand toys from the kids club. I always bring some with me. Normaly in August I will pick up sand toys 75% off. So for 25 cents I just leave them with the kids club.
My doctor gave me seasick meds for our kids. We didn't use them. My kids do not get seasick. One good thing!! I have heard that the seabands work for kids. You can get them at any drug store.I would put a band on the kids the first night and see if they are going to need the meds. If they make it through the first night . Then they should be ok.Hope this helps.

Okay, sounds like I'll save a bit of hassle if I just pack a few cheap sand toys. Glad to hear the DD's can at least snorkel in the family area.

Do you know what the name of the medicine your doctor gave you for the kids for seasickness? I really don't think mine will have a problem but being an expert, I know how miserable it is.

What are the ages of your kids and how have they found the Kid's Club to be?

I can't rember the name of that drug. ( I think it's the same for the adults.Just smaller doses.)
My kids are ages 14,11 and 7.My kids love the Clubs. They have been going on DCL since the beginning.(1998)
The younger groups do alot together. Ages 3&4 and ages 5 to 7 group stay in the same room alot .So atleast they will see each other. ;) If your kids make friends at home then they should like it.

Hey, there! We just reserved space for a four day WDW stay followed by the 3 day Wonder cruise on Sept 8th. Just a couple of kids at heart, planning on celebrating 25 years of being married! :) Have cruised before, but never on a Disney cruise...what should we know??? I did order the DCL DVD, but it keeps getting stuck on all of our DVD players, so I'm bummed about that!

Congrats on the 25 years and welcome aboard!! I've never really cruised before either (just a three hour trip to the Bahamas) let alone Disney, so sorry I don't have any information for you. But hey, it's Disney, it's going to be great! :cool1:

DonnaW Congrats on the making the silver year!! Hope you have a great party! Oh. you are going on the Wonder ;) . No problem having fun there!

Thanks for the kind words of congratulations! I am reading about/looking for any and all info on this whole cruise thing....does anyone have any clear pictures of the difference between the regular veranda and the navigator's veranda? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! Just booked this cruise today to celebrate my 40th birthday on September 10th. This will be our first Disney cruise, although DH and I have cruised many times before. We've always wanted to try Disney, and this cruise fit into our schedule perfectly. I thought the best way to celebrate this birthday would be by relaxing on a beach somewhere. Hopefully the weather will be great!

Thanks PrincessLuvers! Boy, I bet you're excited with this being your first cruise. Just wait, you'll be addicted afterward! I can't let a year go by without cruising at least once!

Hello All, just wanted to say Hi.

Myself and DW(hope I have the lingo correct) will be aboard, our first Disney Cruise to celebrate a One year anniversary and DW's bday....

Thanks to all those whom I have learned so much from as this crusie thing was a whole new experience for me, especially as I was trying to keep the surprise from her..

Hi Jedi! Welcome aboard, and congrats on your 1 year anniversary. When is your wife's birthday? We can have a drink to celebrate, since September birthdays are the best!

Its actually August 24th but she was ok with waiting till the crusie to really celebrate.......I know, I am so rough on my DW :earsboy:

August birthdays are great too - DH's is on August 31st.

See, one year of marriage and you're still treating her like a princess - nicely done!
