:D

MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! YES!

princess:

Yep, I'm just turned 45. Had a great birthday. Thanks for the roses babe and I understand about the present. Its the thought that counts in my book--plus better late than never. Right?

Rae:

Thank you for the belated birthday wishes. I just think its so cool you'll be on the cruise with us. Too bad Ma couldn't come on this one too, but she said the one cruise we did for her birthday was enough for her. I have to admit the Halloween cruise was a blast.

Been a very busy day for the September 4th Cruise! We've just added another new cruiser to the list!

Paul and Kaye have also been kind enough to share a picture
with all of us for the site!

Maryleigh--

Congrats on the Masters degree! I actually just graduated with mine (Social Work, M.S.W.) in April. Quite a relief to be done and finished with school (forever)! :)

I'm so happy to see all of the names being added in just the last week! Our group just keeps growing! :sunny:

Kona coffee is delicious, especially when it comes from the heart - thanks Big Kahuna!

Oh, this is going to be a great meeting, friends! I really have to brag on my "sons" - Travis and Jason and my best cruisin' buddies - Paul and Kaye. You can't find better folks anywhere!

Melody - we can brunch together and see if they will brew the Kona for us!!! Paul can sweettalk the moon to shine!!! Right Kaye?!

Mmmmmm, it would be great to get a good cup of coffee onboard! :teeth:

Sounds good, Melody!

Hey, could you possibly tell us about your dogs? I assume they are rescued greyhounds but........

Sure would be nice to know about the furbabies!!

Rae

I love dogs! I've been admiring those doggies there on your posts Melody. Dogs truly no the secret of enjoying life. Quite philosophical animals. :)

My brother just took one of his dogs all the way to NJ this past June. I love that dogs name, Zero. He's got just one big oval spot on his side. He's a great dog and takes a joking very well when I make fun of his name and call him Nothing. I know, rotten of me but I can't help myself! lol

Paul, you and Kaye have to share the info about your furbabies too, ya' know!

I have a rescued Goldie mix named Kira; a chihuahua named Spike; a rescued domestic shorthaired cat named Mr. Bumpy and three horses, a gaited black and white paint gelding named Oreo, a blue roan Rocky Mountain pregnant mare named Shadow Dancer and a black paint mare name Beauty (with a 5 month old foal named Trixie).

We have dogs. :)

Kaye has a a snack sized Pekingnese named She-She weighing in at an incredible 7lbs (actually 3 and a half without hair). Then, she has a Sheltie named Lobo. Over here I have a corgi/fox terrier type mixed doggie named Mitzi. She's 11 years old and loveable. (Takes after me)

we are cat people but we will soon be looking for a dog. any suggestions? we have to siamanx cats (half manx and half siamese) named samson and delilah.

3 weeks to go. i agree it will be nice to meet you all. michael is thinking about doing the parasailing at castaway. anyone ever done it?

Cats ... dogs .. birds .... they all have one thing in common. When they see me coming they just see one big softee. Think they start hearing ice cream truck music. :D

so i want to know what excursions are planned
So far, I have heard the rum tour, anything else?
I think we may do the champage catamaran again!
who knows

Our documents still didn't come!!! They are scheduled to be delivered today. The wait is killing me/us. We, too, are cat people--just one, but she is a cute handful. Can't wait to meet everybody in just a few more weeks. The group has really grown! Should be a lot of fun.

GA nurse - we are with Paul and Kaye on the St. Thomas Island Tour also.

IF Michael was older (10), we would have gone horseback riding on Puerto Rico.

Andy (verandanman) has gone parasailing at CC and loved it.

Rae

The board has really been busy the past few days. Every time I log on there seems to be a new page. It is really getting close now, so we had better start packing.

Ahhhh, you want to know more about my furr-kids! Well, let me just start off by saying how much these two little girls mean to me and EB. Much to the chagrin of many of our family and friends, our lives revolve around these two precious little creatures.

The month EB and I purchased our home we went to a greyhound rescue picnic/reunion contemplating adopting one of these beauties. Yes, I said 'contemplating.' Well, needless to say, we fell in love with our lighter-brindled baby, MeiMei. She had just turned 3 years old when we adopted her and she retired from a Florida track early because of her incredible nervousness and shyness. She still gets very nervous in new situations. She's Mommy's little girl.

Well, about a year later I wanted to adopt a cat or kitten. After arguing back and forth -- hubby wanted another greyhound -- my dearest husband won out and found our next rescue over the internet at the website of the organization we adopted MeiMei. Well, he said to me one day, "Let's just go meet her and see what we think." LOL  yeah right, "just meet her!!!" He's nuts. Well, we went to meet Starlight and when she came barreling through the door and was a complete maniac (think Stitch when he first enters Lilo's house) and so hyper and excited and all over the place! I just about cried because EB fell in love with her and I was so apprehensive mostly because she was SO DIFFERENT than my precious angel MeiMei. Of course, hubby won that battle and I didn't get my kitty. Starlight the maniac came home with us and after two or three days of me crying because she was such a handful, MeiMei seemed to fall for her and Star has been with us ever since. It only took me about a week or so to adjust and Star calmed down a little. Just a little, though -- but the great thing about her is that she really helped MeiMei to come out of her shell. MeiMei was so incredibly backwards and shy that it was a huge feat whenever we'd get her to wag her tail. Now she does it all the time. She and Star play and race each other around the yard, lay together around the house, etc.

They are the two best decisions we've ever made. I love them so so SO much! I talk about them like most people talk about their kids. I just love all animals and wish we could rescue every last one of them. In fact, if I had my druthers I'd have a house-ful and a yard-ful of rescued animals.

The worst part of going away for us is leaving our girls. We will never kennel them and always hire a friend or family member to house/dog sit.

I have pictures of my little angels here if you are interested:

Thank you all for asking about them. I would recommend greyhounds to everyone who has a little more love and tlc to give.
