Hey, could you possibly tell us about your dogs? I assume they are rescued greyhounds but........
Sure would be nice to know about the furbabies!!

Ahhhh, you want to know more about my furr-kids! Well, let me just start off by saying how much these two little girls mean to me and EB. Much to the chagrin of many of our family and friends, our lives
revolve around these two precious little creatures.
The month EB and I purchased our home we went to a greyhound rescue picnic/reunion contemplating adopting one of these beauties. Yes, I said 'contemplating.' Well, needless to say, we fell in love with our lighter-brindled baby, MeiMei. She had just turned 3 years old when we adopted her and she retired from a Florida track early because of her incredible nervousness and shyness. She still gets very nervous in new situations. She's Mommy's little girl.
Well, about a year later I wanted to adopt a cat or kitten. After arguing back and forth --
hubby wanted another greyhound -- my dearest husband won out and found our next rescue over the internet at the website of the organization we adopted MeiMei. Well, he said to me one day, "Let's just go meet her and see what we think." LOL

yeah right, "just meet her!!!" He's nuts. Well, we went to meet Starlight and when she came barreling through the door and was a complete maniac (think Stitch when he first enters Lilo's house) and so hyper and excited and all over the place! I just about cried because EB fell in love with her and I was so apprehensive mostly because she was SO DIFFERENT than my precious angel MeiMei. Of course, hubby won that battle and I didn't get my kitty. Starlight the maniac came home with us and after two or three days of me crying because she was such a handful, MeiMei seemed to fall for her and Star has been with us ever since. It only took me about a week or so to adjust and Star calmed down a little. Just a little, though -- but the great thing about her is that she really helped MeiMei to come out of her shell. MeiMei was so incredibly backwards and shy that it was a huge feat whenever we'd get her to wag her tail. Now she does it all the time. She and Star play and race each other around the yard, lay together around the house, etc.
They are the two best decisions we've ever made. I love them so so SO much! I talk about them like most people talk about their kids. I just love all animals and wish we could rescue every last one of them. In fact, if I had my druthers I'd have a house-ful and a yard-ful of rescued animals.
The worst part of going away for us is leaving our girls. We will never kennel them and always hire a friend or family member to house/dog sit.
I have pictures of my little angels here if you are interested:

Thank you all for asking about them. I would recommend greyhounds to everyone who has a little more love and tlc to give.
