Have any of you requested servers for this cruise? This will be only our second cruise and while we had no complaints about our serving team on our first cruise, we had no idea if they were cream of the crop or the bottom of the barrel because we had no one with whom to compare them!

I might take a "the devil you know is better than the one you don't" approach and put in a request for them, but I haven't done anything yet.

What do you guys do?

I have not made a request for servers. i didnt even know that was an option. for both of our disney cruises, our wait staff was exceptional. i think exceptional service is the norm on Disney cruises. Just my opinion anyhow.

This will be my 6th and 7th cruises, and we are thinking about requesting servers on the Magic (sept 22nd-29th), but we aren't going to on the Dream. Of my five cruises, i have had 2 out of this world serving teams, 1 pretty good team, and 2 not so great. Disney has always done a wonderful job pairing us with other people our age!

I have been so busy working on FE gifts. but now i am a little concerned that the gifts i have for the kids for 1 of the days may not fit into the FE pouches. Do you all suppose i could hang them from the doorknob? (is there an actual doorknob? i cant remember?) or are we not allowed to do that for fire/safety reasons?? any suggestions for me??

You can always set in on the floor. Sometimes the room stewards will put stuff in the room.

We have our Mickey mail for our time at WDW and the first four days of our sailing time but not the last 3, doesn't matter if we don't get the rest, we have enough mail to get us on the ship the first time!

Mickey Mail for us, too! Kids were asking questions, wondering what the envelopes were. My 5 year old focused right in on the Disney Cruise Line and Logo.

We always go to Boca in the fall for vacation, so I am anxious to see how long it takes them to realize we are not at the West Palm Beach airport when we land

AHHHHH!!!! Seeing everyone getting their Mickey Mail is making me excited! Hopefully my TA has mine and will be calling me soon!

I am working on my FE gifts but I am starting to think they may not be good enough and my husbad isn't making me feel any better about them. I really like what I am doing and I hope all the kids will like it too. Still stuck on what to do for the adults.... I guess I need to get busy this week....

Won't take long at all for these 5 weeks to pass by!

I'm sure your FE will be fine! .....but do you PROMISE these next 5 weeks will fly by? Because I am SO ready to go....well except for packing ....anyone want to do that for me? I think I have notified everyone that needs to be. I'm just ready to go. May pick up a few last minute items....I have no clothes that fit as I have lost 33lbs! I have been trying not to buy any clothes but I guess I need a few things for this trip!

I just finished my actual FE hanger today! i am sooo excited about it! it turned out much better than i thought. i was going to cheat and sew some little canvas bags to some fabric, but i ended up doing it from scratch. i'm so glad i did! Now i have to finish all the FE gifties. i'm about halfway done. all the gifties are going to take up a whole suitcase i think! Especially because the kids' stuff i have for 1 day is a little big. it's a good thing we're driving this year!

I know they are starting to click off too quickly for me. I have been counting down for over 30 weeks and now that we are to the last 5 weeks I realize I have WAY TOO MUCH left to do. It is hard trying to get everything done after my DD goes to bed. If I could work on stuff all night while I was at home I would have a lot more time. I still haven't made my FE, FE gifts or any door decorations. I have all the plans but just haven't put any into motion just yet.

I sooo can relate!! it's hard getting everything done while keeping a surprise!! i have been up till 3am every night for the last week working on FE and gifties while my kids were sleeping. Finally yesterday i hung up a bed sheet to serve as a privacy curtain to be able to work in private while my kids were up! it looks like a fort! I told them i was working on a surprise and forbid them from peeking! The problem is that my craft table and sewing table are on the one end of my kids' toy room, so it is hard to work on projects secretly. It was, until the privacy curtain, that is!
