FYI for those interested in Palo Brunch, All booked for pre cruise ressies. They do keep some open for folks to book upon arrival on the ship. Just keep checking they do open from time to time when someone cancels.

I did our online check in last night/early this morning at 12:01am. I was able to get the 11:00-11:30am port arrival time. In past experience, that time frame gave us a #3 boarding position, which means that each time were onboard by 11:45/11:50am.
We were not planning on Palo this time, but there were supper times available in both Palo & Remy. Palo Brunch was sold out but Remy brunch was available. As Dave H stated above, just check as soon as you board as they keep maybe half of the ressies available for onboard booking. We have just gone straight up to Palo as soon as we boarded, and they would take the reservation at the podium located there. We would usually have a choice of times.
As PI previously stated all the Cabanas are gone, but there seemed to be just about any other activity available for Castaway Cay and at the Spa.

OK I am going to ask this. Is anybody interested in some kind of quick get together at the beginning of the cruise, just to say hi and such? We have done this on most of the cruises we have been on. One time we organized it and missed it due to taking DCL bus and getting to the ship too close to sailing to make it. Usually we set a place either up by the pools like deck 11 or 12, or somewhere around deck 3 or 4. It could be anywhere where everyone can meet if they want. This is just we we can say hi and maybe put faces with names. We are on the charter bus so we will be meeting some of us than. Just a thought.

As for any for any of the other stuff. I just skip those posts. It always help having someone put all the information together and try to get things started. Some times it works great and others not so well.

I have a question on the bus. We are doing round trip on the buses. If the bus does not not sell out on either direction, I am assuming we all will pay slightly more to cover the cost on that bus, ie from port to WDW, those of us on that trip only not the other bus. Is this correct?

I'm going to reply back to the original post you had left this morning and not the edited you have changed it to now. Your opinion is that Hollywood Glitter is passive aggressive but you and your wife have both been just aggressive.

Both of you have sat here and complained "This is a perfect example of what can happen when one person has complete control over all." I don't know if you realize you are in control of every activity so far except the FE and the facebook group. However you have now decided to control those also. You are doing the one thing you are complaining about. Your excuse has been the control over the FE and that may have been your original trigger but it's not the reason you are fighting now.

I'm glad you welcomed my opinion and others this morning but I'm disappointed that you have now unwelcomed it since it differs from yours.

I've said my peace and like most others will continue to ignore the nonsense and just focus on the cruise.

Wow I must say after reading this thread since DCl kicked me off, I am so glad I am no longer on it. This arguing going on over a stupid FE is so childish. I hope those on this cruise will still have a great time.

Just my 2 cents: What many new comers may not realize is that Johnny Quest and Poison Ivy started this thread for the "regular" DCL cruise that was scheduled. After months of planning, it was changed to a "Chartered cruise" then, after weeks of speculation, it was deemed a DVC Member cruise. PI & JQ continued with the DIS thread for existing members who were still on the now DVC cruise. At that point another cruiser came into the picture started a "new" thread for the DVC Member cruise with disregard to the continuing original thread. JQ requested that the 2 DIS threads be merged, which they were. HG who started the DVC thread then seemed to put herself in a place of authority over the thread. When JQ and PI balked at this, the Facebook Page was started.
I have tried to remain neutral between the two pages/threads. However, I had a post removed from the FB page, which I found puzzling. It was a post in reply to someone stating that they were confused by the DIS board thread and all that was happening over the type of cruise, not understanding the stress over the change to DVC cruise. I merely explained that the thread started as a regular cruise, and that there was a lot of stress and unhappiness when it was changed. But it was now the original DIS thread continuing as a DVC member cruise. My post was not argumentative or demeaning, just the facts. Within a day my post was removed and the facebook moderator left a minimal post that basically anything else didn't matter. I just checked back on the FB page and can't find the original post asking about the Disboard page, it appears to be gone. There have been several others from the DIS that are also members of the FB page that have stated that they have had posts mysteriously disappear. That is where a lot of the problems lay. It appears that if you have something to say that doesn't set well with the moderator, it disappears. Also the FE group is not visible. Updates are sent at the moderators discresion. I am a member of one of the Adult Only FE groups. Personally, I don't care how many FE groups there are or who takes care of them. I have joined the one I am most comfortable with and that is how it should be.
I continue to be a member of the facebook page and hope to remain there. If I disappear from the FB member group, you will know it was not by my choice. I am NOT removing myself from the FaceBook group, and I have noted my choice to stay with FB in a PM to the moderator. I will continue to be active with both pages and hope that this whole mess can be resolved or at least put behind us. JQ and PI have done a wonderful job with extensive plans and the DIS thread. Sigris has done a good job with the FB page. They are two different sites and different people caring for each site. Just remember they are for the SAME cruise.
After reading others remarks, it has come to feel like a divided camp with members starting to select "sides". That is the most disheartening of it all. That is not the purpose of these groups. Any disagreements between JQ, PI and HG are theirs alone, and should remain between them.
I'm going to put on my "old lady pants" and say "KNOCK IT OFF". Start enjoying the planning and let the rest go by the wayside.

I think somewhere along the line a meet at the beginning of the cruise was suggested, but not sure that anything was set in stone. I would hope that sometime closer to the cruise a meet will be set. It's always nice to put faces to names.

I went to see my granddaughter and her family while DH was on a business trip, we are going on a cruise to the Mediterranean and putting our condo on the market and then, there are our jobs and volunteer commitments.............so my computer, FB and DIS time has been severely curtailed.

I am sorry to report that we will not be on this cruise with you.

I did tell the Charter Bus organizers and understand from them that there has been interest from others to book our seats so am pleased that they will not go empty.

Hi Dave,

Yes, it would be a max of $2 if there are 6 empty seats. Since our first stop on the way is MCO, anyone needing a ride there should take advantage of the cheap ride and hop on. We have the ability to add 1 more stop also at WDW a if needed.

I have posted the Mini FE Group Google document on the front page. All participants have received their login access and are now able to view and edit their own information. It can also be exported into an excel document and printed out for their own personal use. They are able to monitor and update their own FE in real time.

The max cutoff for this group is 15 cabins. There are 6 spots left. It is open to everyone, not just adults. If interested please refer to the front page linked in my signature below for signup information

I have posted the main FE list on the front page. Members can now go to the link and view, edit, print and download the spreadsheet into excel for you own personal use.

It's live, 24/7 with up to the minute changes made by each individual participant.

This method eliminates the need for a volunteer to collect data while participants wait for an update to be sent periodically.

I highly recommend this for all your future cruises. It's both convenient and secure requiring a login and password for access.

Wow! It only took about an hour. One of the members of the main FE group hacked into the front page google doc, changed settings to a DVC Yahoo account and took it down. So it's a Yahoo user.

So I will put it back up with new login and password and eliminate the Yahoo accounts and see what happens. After all this is a public forum right? This belongs to everyone?...it's an honor system. I can't imagine who would be motivated to behave in this way. It's just a gift exchange.

I've contacted Google and they are researching the origin of the "hijack". They will get back to me. In the mean time you will receive a second email with new info.

So let me understand what happened here. The Group FE list you have listed on the first post of this thread was hijacked. The one that everyone has access too? Where everyone can edit and change anyone's info?

I'm sorry but I can't help it. Didn't you attempt to "hijack" the list from Hollywood Glitter when your wife posted "anyone who has signed up over there for the adult FE please contact me immediately so we guarantee you are on the final roster"

I have not joined any of the multiple FE's being promoted here yet but when I do I can tell you who's list I would be joining.

Have you checked the other boards to make sure no one has started FE's on them. I can list 4 cruise related boards in addition to here where I have participated on a FE and never seen nonsense like this. BTW Just a side note FE's were not originated on the Disboards; they were popularized here. Big difference but not an important fact because no one owns an FE.

I am happy to say the group on facebook is much more focused on the actually cruise. I wonder if the thread will get back to that point again?

The nice thing about google docs. A dishonest fe member logs on and changes the codes to sabotage the list. I was able in 15 minutes to restore the doc, deny the perpetrator access and it's been running ever since.
