I just came on to ask a question about food. I plan to bring some soup, corn, carrots (all in cans) and apple juice boxes for my dd. These are staples of hers and, well let's just say we need them (to make a LONG story short). Will this be a problem? Everything is unopened.

Also, can I check these on or do they need to be carried on?

Am I allowed to bring a can opener?

I'm planning on checking our snacks (all pre-packaged, un-opened containers). Haven't seen any restrictions on checking anything but drinks (water, sodas, wine, etc.). I'm sure your cans of stuff will be fine.

October 22 Carnival Triumph, followed by walking from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 where we will get on the October 27 Disney Magic! Can't wait!!

Awesome! We are getting on the Carnival Magic on the 21st I think...about 2 weeks after we get.home from this cruise but I can only keep one set of dates in my head at a time!

We are! Did you get a call from the DVC rep on the ship? They left us a message that the member celebration is Sunday morning at 9am in Rockin Bar D. We have late seating dinner, so hopefully we will all be awake in time to go to the party!

Im kind of worrying now.
We will be bringing a small cooler on the ship for my dd's medication (taken morning and night). She must eat with her medicine and soup, etc is the only food she will ALWAYS eat. This is why I want to bring soup, corn and carrots onto the ship. Additionally I have to bring pediasure (drink) for her.

I found this, and now Im worried -

Coolers are not permitted except for those needed for medications, baby food or items related to dietary constraints. Items must be pre-packaged, unopened and cannot require any food prep from the kitchen. Coolers filled with personal items (e.g. soda, chips, candy, etc.) may not be brought on board. Homemade items or pre-cooked items purchased on the way to the ship will not be allowed to be brought aboard. Also, open bags or containers of snack items should not be brought aboard. All items will need to be stored in the stateroom; the ship's storage and/or refrigeration are not available to use.

Oh no if the above is true they may take my FE gifts away. I did call two times and was told different about bringing homemade goods. I was told as long as I put tape on the box I was OK. hmmmmm That will suck big time if I spent all those hours making goodies for everyone only to have them taken away at the port. Ugh!!!

I hope they let you through without taking your homemade goods, but I have read and heard, no homemade food is allowed on the ship!! Here is some for you!! Good luck!!!

We ended up getting our Tahoe back late this afternoon. Talk about cutting it close! Now we just have to pack it with all of our luggage and head to Houston tomorrow!

Well we are all packed up and heading to Galveston tomorrow morning. So excited to be done packing finally lol

I am finishing up tonight. So nervous that I forgot something. We've had soooo much going on this week that we didn't expect to deal with this soon. We will be loading up in the morning and heading to Galveston.

I can hardly wait to get on board even if it's raining we are going to have a great time!!

I feel like I'm taking an awful lot of stuff.

Thanks for your replies. My weirdo dd (lol) eats her soup (and almost all foods) room temperature, or even cold. Im going to take some ... all they can do is make me throw them away I guess.

I cant believe its almost Sat!!!!!! We've planned this since January and its finally here!!

we are all packed and our flight leaves at 8:35am! We live five minutes from the airport so I didn't have to be up until 5:30 but I couldn't sleep because I'm too excited!! See you all tomorrow.
