If you're taking a credit card on the trip, don't forget to contact your card company and inform them of your travel plans. Sometimes a lock will be put on your account if they see suspicious activity occuring.

I think that is a great tip denise. We actually did have a lock put on our CC after we moved last fall because we changed our address and started charging new furnishings. It was a pain to remove. Had we been on vacation, it could have put a damper on things.

Excellent tip Denise ! Actually something similar happened on our last cruise. We did the western caribbean. My cat sitter emailed us from home, saying our bank wanted us to contact them to discuss possible "suspicious activity" on our credit card. It can be tough to call when you're on the ship (no signal). We had our son call on our behalf and then called them when we got to the next port.

No docs here yet.........we are not using a TA. We booked through DVC. Anyone else who is booked through DVC points get their docs yet ? Compared to our last cruise when we got our docs 30 days in advance.....this is just nail-biting.

Steve and I booked thru DVC using our points. We called Saturday since we're leaving this Sat headed to WDW. We were told our docs were shipped Friday, the 14th, by FedEx ground and should get here by Wednesday. Cuttin' it close!

Please tell Shannon that my thoughts and prayers go out to her. It won't ease her pain because her pain is so personal, but at least she knows that she's surrounded by her family and friends who love and support her.

Calling your CC before taking any trip is a great tip! Also another tip would be to bring a CC without a limit just in case you need it for emergencies

We're arriving on thursday around 4pm. Are you renting a car too? Is your DH going to drop you guys off first at the port on saturday and then just take the shuttle? We're also renting a car on the 6th because our flight doesn't leave until 6pm so we have time to go around town also.

I can't wait to get home and find our docs on our front porch... puhleeeese let it be there today

That sure is close ! A Fed Ex truck just came down my street about 30 min ago and kept going.......I got a tiny bit excited there for a second ! I sure hope you get your docs tommorrow MommaluvsDis. There's enough to worry about with vacations without having to sweat this out. Fingers crossed for you.

I too have purchased stuff for the goodie bags, I have the glow rings (I found 50 of them!!) but I couldn't find the skull lollipops. Bummer! Funny how it's always there when you don't need it! I did pick up some regular lollipops to add. I guess no kids can have too much candy!

Personally, I wouldn't bring it 'coz most likely they will have beach umbrellas. Just make sure that you get there early to stake out your place under an umbrella. But then again.. I LOVE the sun and I love to get tan, though I'm Asian and I'm already tan.. but I LOVE to get darker!!!

Yes, I can, no problem. BTW, tell Shannon we're all pulling for her, this will be a rough time for sure but once a little time passes and she's having fun on the cruise, hopefully it will help to mend her heart a little.

I am more then a little nervous, I again called my ta about doc, Disney sent them out sep 14, my ta checked they are due to arrive at my ta's wednesday the 19th,them processed there then sent out from las vegas to ill to me she said I should get them by the 25th, Iam leaving home the 27th, to close for me

Sue, please remove Mike and his grandma from the list. That ****(insert the worst word you can think of to describe someone here) Mike left Shannon last night. I feel so bad for her and I feel so stupid because that****really had me fooled. He seemed too good to be true and as it turned out he was too good to be true! We had suspicions for a few weeks that he was up to no good and it turns out that we were right.

Believe me, this will not stop us from having an awesome cruise! We are going to have a blast! It's almost time!

I just checked my docs, wanted to be sure before I posted. My Docs came straight from Disney even though I used a travel agent. (Not allowed to say her name on here ) But anywho, they sent them directly to me and bypassed my TA.

This is the address they came from: DCL 210 Celebration Place Kissimmee, Fl.
So, maybe your TA will not get them first afterall. I find it ridiculously strange that they have waited to the very last minute to send these out.

Here's hoping everyone gets their's tomorrow!!

Never fear, I use my Disney Visa card so much that they won't blink an eye! But I actually had that happen when I didn't use one of my cards for a while and then charged I had to phone them from the store so the card could be used.
