Usually, chicken pox start on the torso. Have you checked her torso? Taken her to the doctor?

If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong and usually before a trip! and prayers for you!

They aren't anywhere else yet. That's the only reason I'm thinking it may not be chickenpox. Also they both have been vaccinated for them. I have a doctor's appointment for her tomorrow. I'm hoping it's nothing. I'm probably more paranoid too because of the cruise. If we don't make it I can't take them next year because she will be expelled from school. So, I'm even more worried.

As for the 80's songs.....my son was born in '86 (now don't I feel old !!!??), and he thinks the 80's music is great. He said if he were going on the cruise with us, he'd be at that party and dressed to the hilt ! Now that I would have loved to see.......

I can't pick a favorite song. They were all my favorite song. It's so funny when I hear them now, each will take me back to a time and place. Memories!


I definitely wanna do the martini tasting. I think I'm going to have to shoot for the one later in the week though. I'm thinking Sunday I'm going to be busy getting the 5 of us ready for formal night. I anticipate being tipsy after all the mini martinis. Curling irons and tipsy don't match.


Shannon, I hope your girls are better soon. Sickness is probably my worst fear too. My kids seem to get strep throat every time we go to WDW. If y'all ever need to know where a walk-in clininc near WDW is, I think I've visited most. Let us know how she'd doing.

Maria: it's so true that something always happens before a big vacation.. even just a little cold.. (i think i might be getting one now) it might be all that "excitement" or stress, being anxious that leave us all vulnerable.
Hey cool that your DS loves the 80's.. it was a great decade wasn't it?

80's band... I LOVE Depeche Mode.. I went to my first concert at 15 and it was to a DM concert.. I also love the Cure, INXS, The Smiths, The Bangles, etc.... aaaaaaaahhhh that brings back lots of memories of school dances

Back to cruise - wooooo hoooooooo 2 more weeks!!! in 14 days, we'll be in Orlando! I think my DH said that we're renting a car with a carseat (addt'l $10) and how do I book the DCL bus?? i went to the DCL website.. and I can't find where to book for it... will try again.. maybe I wasn't thorough enough.

3 packages were on our front porch yesterday, 1 omaha steak box (bbq this weekend), 1 from the insurance company, and 1 for myDH's new toy (memory stick for his new videocam). We both ran to the porch looking for our DCL docs... sadly, no docs

Sorry I havn't had time to post. We only have two weeks. The closer we get the more things happen. I'm afraid I am not going to make it to the magic. First Jade got an ear infection then a bacterial infection now I thyink she's getting better. Let's hope she doesn't get anything else. Then, Savannah now has bumps all over her face, and a swollen lip. Looks a little like chicken pox. Lets pray its nothing bad or contagious.

I'm getting a little worried now!

We had a chicken pox scare days before Eva's birthday party. From what I have read, and according to my ped, Chicken pox will multiply quickly. Day 1 they look like a lot of bug bites, day 2 the pox from day 1 begin to scab over and more "bug bite" pox appear and so on. In our case, Eva had 20 bug bites all in one day from preschool and they were all over her torso. We didn't know for sure until day two that all was well. Keep us posted!

I can't pick a favorite 80's song either! The 80's were Jr. High years for me. One of my favorite soundtracks is from Wedding Singer as they have a great mix of 80's songs.

Re: carseat, make sure they know you need a carseat for a three year old and not an infant. We had friends who had to wait an hour because all they had were infant seats.

Did you use a travel agent to book the cruise? If so, contact them. If not, call DCL and they will set it up.

I hold your cold goes away quickly. I am actually using my lunch break to fill my prescriptions because I have been pretty sick myself. Let's just hope Eva does not get it!

80's Night complaint...When I think of 80's music I think of Van Halen, Def Leppard, all the big hair bands. DH and I always go to 80's night and always end up leaving because they play all the music we don't like. And every 80's night on every cruise is exactly the same. I'm sure all of you will enjoy it. It just isn't my favorite evening.

Favorite 80's song is Guns n Roses November Rain.

I will be more then willing to bring more bags, if we need them. I just don't want any child to be disappointed especially if we have more stuff then room in the bags. I think I would need to get 50 bags or do we need more? Do we have more then 50 kids? My sister (LaWalz23) and I are contributing the glow sticks and pirate gummies, if we neeed more, just let us know.

Shannon, I hope your kids are feeling better.
I worry that one of my kids will get sick right before any trip that we take. Sometimes they have but they are always well ( I mean really well, not just well because it is trip time) for the trip. Like my daughter will get an ear infection 12 days before we go and we go back 2 days before the trip we go back for a recheck and she is fine.


My favorite 80's song is Jesse's Girl by Rick Springfield. Every time I hear it, it brings me back to my teen years, which is good right now. I will be turning 40 on Oct. 6th.

I have 50 pirate bags but they are not that big...I think someone else found the same bags and got 50 as well...I found them at Dollar Tree so they were only $1.00 for 25 I go at least once a week to look for more but I can't find any of the pirate ones. I haven't counted the kids but we have tons of stuff so I think we will be fine. Also as somoene suggested we can start with the younger kids and the go older and older until they are all gone. We are giving them out at lunch on Monday right? I guess at our meet on the first day we can decide when and where we want to get all of the stuff together for the bags.

I got 1 suitcase packed Yay!!!! 2 weeks!!!!!!!!

Real quick post!!! But I just went to the Disney store and they had REALLY NICE t-shirts for $5 each. They are the Studio Collection ones - if you're familiar with those. Any way -- I just had to rush back and tell everyone!! And the best part was (for me) is that DH is on his way to Kansas City so there was no possible way he could stop me from my madness!!!!

HI everyone!! YEAH! We are so very close!! I haven't started packing yet, but man have I been shopping!!!

I will add to the goodie bag - some glow rings, I haven't found 50 yet, but hoping to find more. If not, I will bring something that glows!! I'm also looking for skull lollipops, usually they have them around halloween, but not all of the stores have their candy out yet.

Ok ladies and gents.. anyone wearing a tux and a gown? please say yes.. I don't want to be the only one over dressed.

I have a long, strapless velvet gown that I haven't worn for a couple of years, so I'm thinking of wearing that. My DH is wearing an all black suit including a black shirt inside and my DD is wearing one of her flower girl dresses. Is that going to be TOO formal?

I counted 46 kids 12 and under so we should have just enough bags with a few more in case there are some new kids. Hopefully there is enough because I know that there would be some upset kids if there wasn't. I may have a few extra stickers if we need more bags. Mine is 11 she is still into all that kids stuff and I know she would love all the neat stuff as I am sure they all will!

No docs here yet either!! Hurry up and get here!!!

I am not sure what 80's song I like, my middle sister was really big into Culture Club so I heard a lot of their songs. I like alot of songs from then but don't know the titles but would know it when I heard it. Last time we went to bed early and missed some neat stuff to do so we said this time we are going to stay up later and try to go to some of the theme nights. Definitly the 80's night!
