September 29, 2007 - Magic

Sorry! I thought you got your answer. We are planning to do 50 bags, or maybe 48 because I know a lot of stuff comes by the dozen so I am guessing people are just getting 4 dozen. Last count we had about 36 kids 12 and under but we want to make sure we have extras for any last minute bookers. If we have extras the adults can enjoy or maybe we can sprinkle a little on pirate night and give them to some kids who don't have parents as cool as us
Thanks Zane Anthony !!! I'll see what I can come up with !

Welcome Carol and Doug !!!! Don't worry about the 108 pages...just jump in anywhere ! Glad to have you !

No Palo brunch for us either:guilty: ....took Palo our last night..thought it would be a nice way to end the cruise...:)

Good night and Good luck to everyone...........:wizard:

Imagine my surprise when I logged on here same time as I was loading the DCL page and saw you guys booked early! I *knew* I should've just waited up but instead set the alarm! :sad1: Since we're early (still 30 min before "open" time) I'm going to wait up until 3am to see if it's a partial system glitch and maybe brunch actually opens up now that I decided to do that AND dinner. You never know and there's no way I'm going to be when the timing is so close.

Jac - PM me if you jump on, I know you were really looking forward to the brunch, HANG IN THERE!

I'll post again in 30 minutes (or less if someone else is on) with an update. Now I'm going to go back and re-read the past 7 pages I missed b/c it looks like you guys were busy this weekend!!

No brunch here either but that's ok because I am not 100% sure about Palo :confused3 We are not "fancy" eaters so I am not sure how much of it we would like which is why I didn't book for dinner either. I did get the Doubloon booked though and the snorkel, tube, bike package at castaway cay

I made our dinner for Fri. night when I really wanted Wed. (all blocked out) and now I need to go and start RE-READING about the farewell party b/c I don't want her missing anything even though I picked the latest time for dinner (8:30-10:30) to try to avoid her missing any fun.

Is anyone else on here? And if so, do you know when the farewell party is??

Thanks oodles!

10 more min. to 3am . . .

Farewell party in the kids club looks like it's at 8:00. Last nights show for early dining is at 8:30 and the Till We meet again is 10:15. I changed my mind and went on and booked Palo for Dinner on the last night from 6:30 to 8:30 so hopefully I won't miss anything. I may cancel it but I figured better safe then sorry for now.

3:09am, brunch and high tea haven't opened up. I'm totally surprised b/c I've read TRs where they went to high tea and there were like 6 other people in the place?! I guess we'll have to board early and try to get brunch (decided today I wanted to go and now it bugs me!) and to try and get our dinner switched b/c I really wanted Wed. night and the whole day was blocked out/booked. Oh well, at least I got Friday and I got dd booked in the nursery for that time and for the pirate party! She's scared of fireworks and can't be up that late anyway, maybe she'll enjoy it next time (if there is 1, Erik says he doubts we'll go again any time soon).

I'll finish catching up on the posts - you guys are hilarious! :lmao: :rotfl:

Thanks! I wonder if it's just the show (maybe they have it in the afternoon, otherwise she's missing it, or maybe we'll bring her food into the theater from somewhere or other and she can eat and watch?) or if there's stuff on deck? I thought there was a party or something? I guess I'll have to go look at old navigators . . .

The bruch and high tea have not been available for booking since at least 2 days after the '90 day' window... I couldn't book it then...

Like a lot of you, I stayed up all night to get zippo. Steve and I have our brunch reservations but want to add Doug and Carol.

But you know, this isn't the first time brunch wasn't available at the 75 day mark. Step it up Disney! Very disappointing. Please don't tell us they'll be available and not come through.

(Wrote this just in case Disney is reading.....)

Okay everyone, they always save some reservations for boarding so if nothing comes through beofre we cruise, maybe you can get something then.

Did anyone else secure a brunch reservation?

I was able to book back on July 1 and I couldn't get any Palo brunch. Disappointing.......I don't want a dinner, because we like to share our dinners as a family. My girls are on the shy side and don't even know if they're going to hang with the teen club. I guess I'll try for a brunch once on board.

I was wondering how brunch and dinner at Palo were looking last night/this morning. Sorry to hear that brunch wasn't available. I have heard they definitely save some back for booking on the day you board, so don't give up.

We booked Palo at 105 days due to REAS, but I was up last night booking parasailing at CC since we have two cabins and the REAS only covers one so I couldn't book excursions for all of us until last night. Oh the joy of staying up till after 2:00 AM twice!

I did notice that the spa seemed to hold back appointments for onboard booking. The only single massages they showed available were at either 8:00 AM or 6:00 PM. I went ahead and booked the couples massage which offered more times. I have no idea why this is double the booking price of two singles though. At least it will only take up an hour of our day vs. two hours staggering them.

I'm assuming the salon appointments can only be booked onboard. Anybody know if that is right?

Anyone have a teen considering the Wild Side tour? Anyone who's kids have done it before?

75 days, guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

We're supposed to meet on Saturday, before we sail.
We're supposed to meet on Monday, for lunch, 12 pm. Mickey statue. Monday was decided so people have Sunday to do their thing, get use to the ship, have fun, etc.

Ok, I messed ;) up on the first post, but all fixed.

I don't come on the boards all weekend and you guys fill up 9 pages. WOW :surfweb:

Have a great Monday.

So, last night, around 5, I slid down our last 2 stairs carrying down laundry. No worries. Didn't feel any pain. Got up and did laundry, made dinner, finished laundry, folded laundry - I was all over. Then I sit down to get ready to do this whole booking thing and notice my foot is starting to hurt. The more I sit, the more pain. I go shower so DH can wrap my foot. By then, the pain is just insane! I mean, it was the worst pain I have ever felt and I gave birth to 2 children. Around 9:30, we decide we're going to ER because I'm crying my eyes out and I have a really high threshold for pain. The tirage nurse is convinced it's broken, my ER nurse is convinced it's broken but the X-Rays prove them wrong!! It's sprained!!! But a bad sprain, I'm in this splint thing and have to stay off my foot for 2 days. DH was sweet and brought his computer so we logged on while waiting in the ER room. Here is what I got:
Dinner on the last night...grrr!!!
And The Wild Side Teen excrusion for my son.

No brunch!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: So, we're staying near the port the day before the cruise, I'm going to haul butt to get there and change things out. I don't want dinner the last night, I wanted it formal night. And I want a brunch.

Ouch! So sorry to hear about your injury, JDBlair. :worried: Hope you're feeling better soon!

SueRS, Thank you so much for keeping the first post updated! I've added the signature graphic. :) I realized I did not initially add our family names. Would it be a huge deal to add those?

DH - John
13 yo DS - Eric
11 yo DD - Kristen
5 yo DD - Anna Kate

Thanks!

Jac! I'm sooooo sorry that happened to you on the day that you most anticipated!!!:flower3: I hope you're doing better and you better not be at work young lady!

Well, as far as ressies go.. I was able to book Palo on pirate night but we booked it for 7:00, so that we can have the option of going to the pirate party.. just in case our princess decides she wants to go :cutie: even if it's just for the fireworks pirate:

I also booked the Skyride for St. Thomas, the Butterfly Farm in St. Martin, and Parasailing for my DH at CC. We've decided to do Coral World on our own in St. Thomas 'coz we want to spend more time on Coki beach. Anyone else doing Coral World on their own? And sadly.. no brunch :sad1:

Jac.. race you to the reservation desk on embarkation day...:moped:

Have a nice monday!

JDBlair - ooh, I feel your pain. I am the world's biggest klutz and have sprained my ankles more times than I care to count! (My boss actually told me this morning he'd "Pulled a Laura" because he broke two toes over the weekend, if that gives you an idea!) :rotfl: Hope you feel better very soon!! :goodvibes

So, my question to the group is whether the 3am EST time to register which you read about on these boards is for real? :confused3 I decided to stay up late last night and kept checking back every few minutes to see if I could get in. Sure enough, at midnight on the dot it switched open and let me make my ressies! Was that a fluke and I was just lucky, or does it usually open at midnight EST?

Gr00vyChc, We are thinking of doing the SNUBA at Coki Beach. I've read mixed reviews on the beach. Have you been to Coki before? The good stuff I've read is really good. Sounds like decent snorkeling and easy access to food and drink. It looked like the cruise tour there was full last night - hope that doesn't mean it'll be hugely crowded. We like to do it on our own anyway. Would love to hear some more good things about Coki Beach!

No, we haven't been to Coki Beach before .. but I've read really good reviews on it and some say that the water is even more pristine than magen's bay. My DH is planning to snorkel there. I'd love to SNUBA.. it looks so cool and safe but my DD is only 3... maybe next time. We plan to get there as soon as we get off the ship and stay there until 12 or 1pm and then go do the skyride before heading back to the ship. There's a $3 off in the Coral World website. I'm just a little scared of catching a cab on our own... I hope it'll be safe.

Hi laura. No, not a fluke. My DH was playing online poker last night and decided to log on exactly at 9pm (cali time so exactly 12am EST) and lo and behold.. the reservation page was up and running. We made our ressies then.
