Hi all. First visit to Aulani coming up in May. My wife and I have been to Maui but never Oahu. We are looking for activities for a 4 and 2 year old to do that are off-resort, as I'm aware what the resort has to offer on-property.
There are certain activities recommended constantly that seem great for adults or older kids but IMO would be very boring to lug a toddler to, like visiting the crater or doing the Jurassic Park ATV tour.
Keep in mind, we are fine staying at the resort for a majority of our stay--the trip is about Aulani mostly. But, I also understand the concept of "why fly all this way just to..." so I am trying to plan some activities. I'm traveling with my wife and kids plus my in-laws who are in their early 70s.
Also, I do not care if something is a "tourist trap" or will be packed--we are tourists, after all--we don't really care about seeing some untouched beach--there's a time and a place for that and it won't be this trip--maybe next trip when they are older.
My thoughts are:

My thoughts are:
- Arrival day: Nothing, just relax at resort and recover from flight
- Full day #1: Resort day, enjoy Aulani. Character breakfast at Makahiki. We have the Luau booked at 5PM for dinner.
- Full day #2: Dole plantation in morning, Haleiwa area afterwards (but unsure what to do here) for lunch or hang at a beach. Maybe dinner at Makahiki back at resort.
- Full day #3: Me and father in law are going to Pearl Harbor for first half of day while wife, mother in law, and the kids stay at the resort. Likely just a full resort day for them, as I'm unsure of a 2nd half of the day activity
- Full day #4: Unknown
- Check out day (day #5): Our flight isn't until 5PM, check-out time is 11AM, so we will have to kill time doing something--can always hang at the resort I suppose, although a suggestion of something to do while we have all of our luggage packed in the vehicle with us would be nice (providing we leave the resort at 11AM).
