September 29, 2007 - Magic

Goody bag update! We went shopping today and my sister (Pooh667) and I picked up glow sticks that can also be necklaces and pirate skull gummy candy. We will probably also get ring pops.

SueRS, can you please add my first name, Lori, along with my parents, Ron & Mary to the list? Thanks a bunch!

I've created a new wallpaper for those making a return visit to the Magic.

Let me know what you think. This one is 640x480 and I also have it in a higher resolution, also. I can make one smaller for signatures if anybody is interested.

I really like it but I'm not "returning." I'm a newbie! :guilty: But it's very cute!!

Love it phred ! I'm returning and definitely going to use it as my wallpaper ! THANKS :thumbsup2

Love the "virgins" version ! :lmao:

Me again!
Saved Virgins to Neverland as my Desktop Wallpaper. Yeah, it's going to be a really fun cruise!!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :dance3:

Love the sign but I don't know how to do a wallpaper, and I'm not a virgin. :thumbsup2 (sorry mom:sad2: ) (Mike doesn't know that yet, so keep that a secret:teacher: )

Anyways, I had to come on here tonight to let you all know I found my Ferret!! I have been in a desperate search for my ferret since last night. I even had my sucker of a boyfriend (goofydad24) in the attic for at least 2 hours searching rafters and crevices for our lost family member. WE GOT EM BACK!!!:cool1:  :thumbsup2 We pulled him out of the wall at 12:30 AM. I'm very happy now, just so everybody knows.

Glad u found him Shannon !

I remember one year losing the kids' hamster---he was also in the wall. I remember telling my husband---you know you love your pet hamster when you can take a saw zall to your family room walls without even a blink of an eye !

Virgins to Neverland! :lmao: Funny stuff! :rotfl2: I bet that would turn some heads! :scared1:

Shannon-Great news! I know that's so upsetting, been there done that, glad you found him! :thumbsup2

I am not returning as this is my first cruise but i still love this design!!

Phenergan huh? I think I had that when I was pregnant with my DD (hyperemesis). I'm not so sure if I'm allergic to that one or one of the many meds that I got.. but I'll ask the dr. ... a gel is so much easier to use. I'm thinking about the patch too but I read that there are side effects like hallucinations?? yikes!!! I'm the poor sap who gets terrible motion sickness anywhere.. even on a 1hr flight!

Thanks for the info on the Coral World Tonya. There isn't much to do with a 3 year old really.. we just might look into that. :)

Is anyone else putting signs on their cabin door?

Pauline :hippie:

I used some colorful file folders, cut off the tabs where you write the contents, glued pictures from DCL literature, photos from the PHOTO OF THE DAY DIS thread, pictures of me and DH on past cruises, whatever I liked, covered the whole thing with clear contact paper, glued craft magnets on the back and tested it on the refrigerator to make sure it had enough magnets to stay up. Then I fold each in half, put them in my accordian file with other vacation information (passports, airline confirmations, info about ports of call, etc). When I unpack on the ship I can open each 12 x 18 "poster" and stick it on the door.

I also use the advertising CDs that people usually throw away, put a Disney sticker or glue a photo on one side to cover the hole and put magents on the back. I made Birthday magnets that way for our kids with their photos in the middle and HAPPY BIRTHDAY and the name on the front written in permanent marker on the silver part.

I got some Disney Paint chips from Home Depot, cut the Mickey shape out, put a magnet on the back and a curly ribbon hanging down to make balloons. I put some Disney Character Face stickers on some of the "balloons". One of my DSs was not comfortable that I had taken the paint chips since I had no intention of buying the paint. I had not thought of that so now will reuse the ones I have, but not get more. I can trace them to make more Mickey's out of colored paper though.

I only put the posters and other magnets on the outside of the door that I do not mind losing. Anything SPECIAL decorates the inside of the door or goes on the mirror with tape.

Hi Everyone!! Been Real busy and havent been able to post in a while. I've been catching up on all the pages you guys have been writing, all of you have been busy too!! I love the door sign! Being that Shannon is returning to Neverland and I'm a Virgin, Can we make something that says" I'm a virgin, but my old lady has more experience than I do"?:lmao: That just sounds wrong! but I do love the signs, Very good Job!!

I'll talk to everyone soon! Have a great Weekend!!!

-Mike

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: THANKS, good looking out!!

I kinda sorta put on a few (15?) lbs from when I was pregnant with dd - and I still have it! I'm trying to watch what I eat now, nothing major but we'll see how it goes. No worries, no skimpy bikini for me.

If you're packing alcohol in your luggage watch the weight, I think glass bottles are kind of heavy and you don't want to exceed the allowed weight limit on your luggage for boarding the plane or you get a fee which will probably exceed the cost of the wine had you bought it on the ship. We're going to go for a drive either that morning or the night before, and just buy what we need at a nearby liquor store. It's Florida, they've got to be around SOMEWHERE! Right?!?

We have never taken alcohol with us, we do not drink a lot and decided to count what we do drink as part of the cost:cool1: of the vacation,
AND
I do not know a lot about wine,
BUT:confused3
could you pour the wine into plastic bottles, like coke bottles and then double bag it in the all-purpose-sip-lock bags before putting it in your luggage?
I am thinking that could reduce the chance of breakage and the weight.

Yes, they do have sunday services, my dh and I went to the one on our western cruise. It is usually run by one of the castmembers and they read a passage from the bible, talk a little and sing. It is held I think in Diversions or one of the adult area rooms. We plan to go to this one as well since we try not to miss church. I know on some cruise ship they have a minister, because my dad is a pastor and often gets free cruises with Norwegian to minister on the ship.

We did not know they had a worship service when we went on the Eastern in 2000 but we did go when we went on the Western in 2002. If they have it, we expect to be there.
