Hey Zane Anthony.....the Carnival cruise line has so many ships. Which one are you on ? What's the itinerary ? Have a great time and looking forward to hearing about it !

I will be on the Ecstasy out of Galveston,TX. It's a Thursday-Monday cruise that just stops in Cozumel. It's just me and one of my best friends going, we decided this would be a mommy's only relaxation trip , neither of us have ever cruised before. I will report on it once I get back.

We had brunch at Goofy's Kitchen yesterday and I noticed that Goofy was "hands off" around the kids, I mean not standing close to the kids when taking picture, no hugs or high fives etc. Then, about 20 mins later, Goofy came around again and this time, he carried my DD to get a balloon from the ceiling, hugging the kids, etc... It was obvious that the guy/girl in Goofy's costume changed, just from his demeanor.
I've also heard from my friends' experiences of the characters discriminating "some" kids.. it's sooooooooo sad 'coz the kids are so happy to see them.

Sorry.. just venting. It's monday after all

ha ha...i am so ready, i leave 2 week from today for Galveston, they have the voyager of the seas sailing out of Galveston some next year, I have head RCL's voyager class ships are pretty nice, has anyone ever been on one? I am thinking about trying it if we really like cruising.

Only if you like to eat, drink, and relax in the sun all day. Then again, the wide variety of activities which you may or may not participate in may bug you. . . or being somewhere new each day without you having to do anything to get there may get old real quick too . . .

I travelled with RC on the Vision class and the ship was really nice, food was OK, excurisons were awesome (Med cruise), crew very nice. My brother has travelled on the Voyager class twice, my parents have been on there too (also twice I think). They were both very happy and my brother and his wife don't like ANYTHING and when they came back from their first trip they were raving about it for days. My parents said it was great too, my dad is easy to please but my mom's a travel agent so she knows her stuff.

The ship you're going on is newer than DCL and also has a lot more features (ex. ice rink) that DCL doesn't offer so a comparison should be interesting, but I'm sure you'll have an awesome time on both.

Would you mind sneaking me in your luggage?

This time I am going on one of Carnivals older smaller ships I wish it was the Voyager though ! The voyager will be in Galveston the first part of next year and I was thinking of going since it will be so close to home!
