September 22nd 4 day wonder

It just seems that closer it gets here the more question I have. I'm getiing really excited!!!! It's hard to believe it's actually getting here.

Hi Everyone! Haven't posted in a while, but have been reading often.

I know what you mean about Hercules..... Ben has no interest in watching it either. Also, just by chance, a monthly reading magazine at his school had a whole section devoted to, believe it or not, hurricanes! Their destructive force, their frequent appearance in Florida.... Couldn't have been about Manatees....NOOOO! Had to be about hurricanes. He doesn't say too much about it, but now he's a little worried. I've explained that there aren't any hurricanes right now, and that the captain can take the ship far away from it if one pops up. So now he's a little happier, thinking that he might get to see Mexico as a worst case!! I have no idea what to expect from him with dinner and the shows. He may want to be with me every second of the cruise, or he'll have so much fun at the club that I may not see him more than 5 minutes at the start and end of each day. Guess I'll find out when we get there!

Anyway, we're both excited. Finished ironing and folding a lot of clothes, and thinking about buying a 5 gallon jug of Downey Wrinkle Releaser.

We're spending three days at WDW before the cruise, and I hope that we'll have dried out by Sunday (how many feet of rain has fallen down there this month?). Not sure if I'll find lime ribbon, but I'll probably be wearing a #4 Brett Farve Green Bay Packer jersey in the ESPN SportZone on Sunday afternoon!

The DISNEY DREAMS in fantastic!! We see it every time,and it's so good !! The kids do a little show on the last night also,Oceaneer Club,and it's so cute !!

We are also going to the show that the kids do. Wenesday is going to be a busy day for us. Castaway Cay, take the kids to oceaneers club while we get ready for Palos' (hopefully we get reservations), watch their show, off to Palo's, pick kids up go to Disney Dreams. I'm glad that all our days aren't this busy!
We leave in 4 days tommorow for Florida, yeah!!!

We leave for Florida at 4:30 Thurs. morning for a 7:50 flight out of Philly But that will put us at Disney World in plenty of time (yea,if all goes smooth.... *LOL* ) for ALICE's TEA PARTY at the Grand Floridian at 1:30.

jeleann- you can stay at oceaneer club whenever you want and take as many pictures as you want. The first year I just stayed there with her,never left her by herself,but Taryn was 2 weeks away from 3yrs. old then, last year I just took pictures and stayed for a few minutes,but they don't mind if you take pictures and hang out.

Do you guys have a navigator already?? If so,can someone send it to me;please?

EVERYONE, hit me with the MUST BRINGS....Especially those that we need to board the ship! And any other things you think we should really consider bringing...I want to make sure we try to pack all the must haves!!

Scottie- MUST haves to check in: Cruise docs, birth cerificate (with a raised seal or water mark), drivers license, cash or credit card.
I'm bringing a shoe organizer, an extension cord, we have an inside room so a night light for the kids, camera.

A whole bunch of additional people going on cruise that you don't know about.

The radio station I work for on Long Island NY had a summer time contest and gave away a bunch of trips, I believe 10 in all and also the broadcast team from our morning show will be on board also broadcasting live from the ship each morning starting Monday.

So your empty ship is not so empty.

I wanted to go also but already have a DCL 4 day cruise scheduled for Oct 13th. Just couldn't swing both so close together.

Anyway, I sure hope the weather holds out. Our station weather service says that there is a very good probablity of alot of rain in the area that week.

The 10 couples or families are on your ship, also there will be another 4 families from the broadcast team. They'll be up early every morning up by the espn club in the broadcast studio doing their morning show which starts at 5 am and ends at 10am.

I do not have the final count of families actually going from the radio station but it is at least 4. So that's 14 more rooms taken.

I wish I was going too, but oh well I'll have to wait for a few more weeks after for my turn.

Wow I guess our ship is really starting to fill up. I was really hoping it was just going to be us!


We leave in three days! Almost two! Anyone else finding it hard to believe. I am already behind on all that I was wanting to do before we left. So tommorow, before my day at the spa, I'm going to spend the morning making my house shine! now, but when we get back! Friday I'll be packing everything except bathroom stuff. Which I'll pack Saturday morning.

I can't believe the cruise is almost here.I started organizing things that I can put away into suitcase already.I won't pack the clothes in it till late Friday.Tomorrow,I will clean and pack some stuff that I can pack early.See you all soon!

When is everyone leaving again? We're leaving Sat @ 11.


Just a tip be sure to go to the Post Office and have your mail stopped. We have one of those little boxes that hang on the outside of your house. Barely big enough for one days mail, can't imagine 5 days worth! I guess it would just be laying all over our porch.

We fly out sat around 830am and arrive in MCO around 1130am then off to Cocoa Beach Hilton for the night!

Wow we fly out @1:20 (11 is when we're leaving the house) and don't land in MCO until 7. I wish our flight was that short. Guess it's better than driving.

I emailed Meghans teacher tonight to see if she wanted us to do anything in the way of projects/homework while we are gone with Meghan...will be waiting to see the reply tomorrow

Hopefully she'll just have to do pictures and journal like the rest of the kids on this board. I'll keepmy fingers crossed!

jeleann: Thanks for mentioning the mail thing....I had forgotten about that!

We're off early Sat morning for the Kennedy Space Center and a night at the Radisson. Sunday morning.....on to the ship!

Scottie: What does Meghan have to do for homework? I wouldn't think there would be too much given that she is just in kindergarten.

Hopefully I will start packing today. Of course I've said that every day this week so who knows! This week is absolutely flying by.

Yes,this week is definitely flying by although at first I thought it was going drag.As far as packing goes,I have packed a few things.I need to sit down read some post and make sure I have the suggestions in suitcase as you all are great on here.
