September 22-25, 2011 Disney Dream Cruise

Yeah its too far away! OUr next Trip is to my aunts in Melbourne, Fl we are going down in Feb to see the space shuttle launch (and of course we are gonna stop by the Jetty @ Port Canaveral to see the Dream leave :banana::banana:)

Hello, everyone! We just got off a back-to-back on the Wonder (likely our last time sailing on the Wonder - :guilty:) and booked this cruise. Our plan is to do the DVC Member cruise on the 18th and then hit this one after that (if we can get the DVC Member cruise booked - LOLOLOL). If not, we'll just do a couple nights at the parks before this cruise.

I very much look forward to getting to know everyone. :grouphug:

Yeah, if we can't get on the DVC members' cruise, we'll just do our own land & sea, probably at the Beach Club Villas. Either way, it will be a great time. :goodvibes

Count us in on this one:

DH, DW, DS13, DD8, DD5

getting ready for tomorrows Wonder cruise will get Dream conf and other info later on!

Hi everyone! Just booked this cruise today. It will be myself and DS11 (age at sail date). We are from Powder Springs, GA (on the Paulding County side too!!) :) It so cool to see people from my area on this roll-call. I just love the fact that Paulding County closes the schools this week - September makes for a great time to visit Disney!

We've sailed on the Disney Wonder quite a few years ago, but my son was just a baby at that time. When I saw pics and news of the new Disney Dream, I just had to book it! (I think I'm more excited than my son...! lol)

We plan to spend 5-nights at WDW before the cruise, so I can relax on the Disney Dream after running around at all the parks. Looking forward to getting to know everyone as we pass the time.

Side note....I was reading through everyone's posts....what are "fish extenders"??

Welcome Aboard WOOHOO another Georgia family :cool1::cool1: this is too cool on my last cruise we only had one person on our board that was from GA.
A FE is a gift holder you hang from the fish that is outside your stateroom (where they normally can put mail) and people in your FE Gift exchange put little gifts in them either one night on the cruise or every night of the cruise if they choose to. I made a photo album for each stateroom on my last cruise and then just did little goodie bag for the adults in the room and a bag each for the kids in the room. Some people put things from the state they live in, and of course most of the things have some thing to do with disney. There is a board on the DCL boards that is nothing but people showing their home made gifts and their actual FE and some people actually post all of the gifts they got from their cruise.

How wonderful that we have another Paulding Co. family in 'da house! :woohoo: I'm really loving this week off in September as well.

We actually just got off a back-to-back on the Wonder, and it was a great time. I do have to tell you guys though that we might end up changing to the 7 night Eastern cruise instead of this one. I was hoping that we would be able to get on the DVC members' cruise right before this cruise and do another back to back but I couldn't get through the day that the cruise opened up and the ship is now completely sold out. So, now we have to decide if we want to do the parks for a couple nights before this cruise (we are DVC members so we could easily do it) or if we just want to take a 7 night cruise. We'll see....

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day! :goodvibes

Hi all! I'm thinking I might switch from this sailing and cruise with DCL in 2012 instead. I'm waiting for DCL to release their 2012 itineraries and rates before I can make a decision, but it looks like that's what we'll be doing. We're cruising on RCCL's Allure of the Seas for Christmas next year, so that would rule out us sailing with DCL for this sailing of 9/22.

I'm going to wait and see what DCL is going to offer for 2012, but I'm pretty sure that we won't be able to sail with you all, since we'll be on Allure of the Seas in December 2011. Hope you all have a wonderful time on the Dream, as I'm sure you will!!

Hola! Well, I haven't cancelled this cruise just yet. The wait for DCL's 2012 cruises is killing me! Ugh, I wish they would just release the news already. Word on the street is they'll make an announcement on 10/18. Sure hope this is accurate! We may end up staying on this 3-night sailing though, as my son and I want to visit WDW and get some time in at the parks, followed by the 3-night cruise.

Decisions, decisions...! :goodvibes

Hey guys,

Got a notice in the mail stating that they now have assigned show times and there is 3 time slots per day 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm. We will be at the 5pm shows and 6pm dinner. Just seemed interesting since I didnt get this notice when we sailed the Wonder. Does anyone know what the shows will be on the Dream?

We got the same notice! DH said that our dinner was at 6:00 p.m. (?) and our show was at 9:00 p.m. The late show certainly isn't my first preference, but I guess we'll go with it and see what happens.

As to the shows on the Dream, I don't believe I've seen any confirmations of whether they will be the same as on the Magic/Wonder or not (although I suspect the Disney Dream show will be on the Dream either way). I'll be cruising on the 5 nighter on the Dream in June, 2011 so I will make sure to report all the details upon my return. :thumbsup2

We haven't gotten one yet but i know that the dream will at least have Villans Tonight i have no clue what the other ones are going to be. I think they are doing 3 shows since they are gonna have more people on this ship they want to make sure that everyone can see the show and the theater doesnt get too full.

Hi, everyone! Just wanted to check in and see how my September cruise peeps are doing. For those of us in Atlanta, do you guys believe this crazy weather?!? We don't get rain all summer and now we are getting slammed, and the traffic headaches are just NOT fun! :sad2: Well, I hope everyone has a great day! :goodvibes

Yeah all the rain is killing me I have had a headache for 4days i want the rain to go away I know we need it but my head can't take it anymore. Thank goodness I am off from work today did y'all see the announcement about what shows they will have on the dream? I can't wait to see them i have seen the golden mickeys but they said that they have re-imagined it so they will be all new shows.
