:welcome: FatCat and family!

Nice to have you and your family onboard! :) I'm a recent Crocs convert - took delivery of a pink Disney pair last Friday and so far very impressed... :thumbsup2

Meant to say that today signalled the start of my drug treatment. I've taken a trial dose and must have more blood tests next Monday to see if I can tolerate the drug. I'm on tenterhooks waiting to see if any of the numerous side-effects appear...

Most scary was when the dispensing phamacist told me I couldn't touch the pill with my hands but had to pop it onto a spoon and then straight into my mouth! :scared1: Have to wash hands and spoon straight after - must be a horribly toxic substance... :sad2:

There's currently an item on the news about the 2012 Olympics logo - apparently the promotional video that accompanies it can cause epileptic fits! This is such a catalogue of errors! I really hope they change it - soon!!!

Working on my port Days. Still needs grooming.

Excursion outline for my 9/22 cruise.

2nd cruise but 1st Western.

Here is my outline.

I welcome comments. PLEASE!!!! pirate:

Keep in mind I have a 5 yr old and 2 yr old. Want to remain flexible and keep things affordable. As great as some excursions do sound I have to keep everything kid friendly.

1. Key West gonna just walk around and hit the Aquarium. Appears to be $10 per adult at the door. I think $7 for kids.
Gonna hit Mallory Square and try to find some Key Lime Pie. Mmmm

2. Grand Cayman. Doing a lot of research on this one. In order to have flexibility of returning to town or ship at my schedule gonna take a taxi $5 per person to either SeaGrapes, Royal Palms, or possibly Day Rate at a hotel (Still trying to find costs).
Then rent appropriate Beach furniture. Chair Umbrella.

Looked in to Disney 7 mile beach excursion but cannot find transportation info. Do not want to be locked into 4.5 hour window with two small kids.
Want to leave when I want to.

Also still keeping Smith Cove as option.

3. Cozumel - Keeping Beach at Paradise Point or San Francisco as Backup plan if weather prohibits good beach day at Grand Cayman. Since we are supposed to do KW, GC, CZ, CC I thought I would do town, beach, town, beach.

So Cozumel looking to goto those open air markets north of the main upscale shopping area. Still reviewing other options for younger kids since this is supposed to be the longest port day.

WELCOME Fat Cat:thumbsup2

I think your plans so far sound good. I like the town/beach/town idea. DH want's to hit the open air markets as well...but we also wanted to spend some time snorkeling. I supose were there long enough to do both.:goodvibes

I haven't narrowed down meals at Palo yet....but I guess I should start looking into that seeing the date is comming up.

Hi FatCat...
Key West there is the Key Lime Bakery and the Blonde Giraffe. Im trying to remember the one we went to, and I can't... but I do remember the great pie there. Hmmmm sounds like I'll have to try both to make the taste comparison. :lmao:
Anyone up for the taste test tour???:rotfl2:

Annpopcorn::

Welcome Fatcat and Family

I have added you guys to our website. The link is in my signature. If want me to add more to the other columns just let me know.

Also we have a scheduled DIS meet at 3p at Mickey's Pool to say hi, and hopefully get a group pic.

See ya there <G>

I am totally stoked for the key lime pie. Can't do the rum cake thing as we have nut allergies in the family. Do not want to take chances.

I am thinking if they offered as a dessert on board. I think there was a key lime cheesecake for some reason. Cannot remember.

OH. Cool website. Thank you for adding me.

My nieces will be pleased to know that many of you have opted to spring your children from school for higher education as well. They were concerned that the Stack might not have many teens.

To complete the info.

Early seating.

Deck 5 for me
Deck 1???(guarantee) for rest.
I guess guarantee for cat 12 is kind of redundant.

Hi everyone! :wave2: Just giving us a *bump*... Getting very close to a little double digit dancing now!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hello everyone, and thanks for the bump Karen.

Cozumel excursions are under consideration here. We are going to do the trolley tour in Key West on our own, and I would really like to see the Mel Fisher museum. Photo at the southernmost point is also on the to do list for Key West.

Last time we did the Western in 2004 we did the Captain Marvin stingray city tour. Might just snorkel this time. Mike

Mike, we are still trying to decide on Cozumel too. If we have to tender we are thinking about just staying on the ship. If they dock, maybe we will just jump off for a couple hours to look around. We had thought about doing a hiking / zipline tour on our own. But it takes a number of hours and you have to ferry over to the mainland. I just didn't want to take the chance of seeing the ship sail off and I'm not on it! The only other thing we are looking at is the jeep tour. I had talked to Steve about the Tulum tour awhile back. But after hearing about the bus ride with no air conditioning and barely any shocks, Steve started to think we were going to be riding on the bus from "Romancing the Stone." And he would have to share a seat with a bunch of chickens. :rotfl:

We were put off by the journey to/from the ruins but then I saw some photos and read an article about them - they looked so awesome that I persuaded Richard the discomfort would be well worth it! Just hope I'm right... ;)

Karen if after visiting the ruins, and Richard does not allow you at the table, you are welcome to dine with us:lmao: I think that you both will have a great time together.

Eva you can always try to collect some eggs from the chickens onboard the bus to the ruins:rotfl2: Mike

Karen, I'm sure that you will have a great time. I think that we just decided that we would like to take a port day and stay on the ship. On the Eastern we went into St. Maarten for a couple hours and then headed back to the ship about 10:30 or so. It was fabulous being on the ship while most everyone else was on the island. If we dock, we may do the same and head out for an hour or two and then get right back on the ship.

Thanks Mike! :thumbsup2 It's good to know I won't have to sit on the naughty step without so much as a biscuit! :lmao:

That does sound fab, Eva! :thumbsup2

I am glad that we got our passports taken care of last November. The wait time now is extensive. 12 weeks or more, unless you pay an extra $100 per person for expedited handling. You never can tell when the US government changes it's mind about rules and the need for passports. Kathy had just gotten off from work, and was still in her scrubs. I am wearing a pair of bib overalls so that made for a special pair of photos for the passports.

I guess that I need to check the online navigators and more importantly menus to see what to stuff in my fat cheeks while onboard.:lmao: :rotfl2: Pluto's dog house and scoops come to mind. Mike
