Hi everyone! I just wanted to jump in here, finally. My name is Claudia, and I am sooo excited!!! to be joining you all on this cruise! It's my first ever and I've been dreaming about a Disney Cruise for EVER!!! My BF (timnca) already posted a few weeks ago so we are already on the list Brady961 is keeping (thanks for doing that by the way, very cool). It will be me, DD6 and DS12 (all cruise newbies) and DBF and his DD14 and DS11 (cruise veterans). Can't wait to set sail with you all!!

Karen - You're right, upgrading to a Cat. 3 is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I actually called for pricing on it last Thursday and fortunately there were only two Cat. 3 cabins available and they weren't the ones I wanted. I have the WDW Passporter, but just ordered the Passporter DCL Field Guide last week. It should arrive in a few days and clear up some of my confusion

Definitely! I've read that Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom don't want to do anymore but Johnny Depp's up for it tho'... I also love seeing Kevin McNally (Gibbs, Jack Sparrow's 1st mate) on screen - believe it or not he was quite dashing 20 or so years ago and I had a crush on him when he played romantic lead in a TV series called "Diana"...

Wow, I'm gone two days and have literally pages to catch up on!

Kristi, I guess we will have to help each other in this upgrade quest. We are currently in a cat. 6. But I have my heart set on a cat. 3. Unfortunately, it is over $2K just to upgrade DH (Steve) and me. So my plan is to wait till we get to port. They have had those two cat. 3 cabins open for quite some time now. I hope they are still there when we check in. I've been told that you can usually save more than half by upgrading at the port. Steve says he won't pay $1K to upgrade at port. But I know once he gets there his answer will change. Seriously I doubt that there will be any cat. 3’s available anyway.

But since it is our 25th anniversary, I can wish for a little pixie dust!

Hi Karen! How did the doctor's visit go the other day? Was this the same doctor that gave you such a difficult time before? Hope all is well!

Cruise Question 1:
Anyone wearing a tux for formal night? I can't believe that Steve is thinking about renting one. I am torn. While he looks great in one, he could really use a new black suit. I went on a diet two months ago and lost 15 pounds so far. But Steve lost 20! Now he needs a bunch of new clothes. I think that we might want to save the $100 dollars and put it towards a new suit. I thought I would see what everyone else is doing. Maybe all of you will help us make up our minds.

Cruise Question 2:
What has everyone decided for excursions, now that the time to book is nearly here? Other than just walking around Key West, I haven't made up my mind about anything.

Cruise Question 3:
Are you eating at Palo? If so, which night are you going to try to reserve? Are you reserving the brunch and/or tea too?

Are you doing any spa treatments? If so, which ones?

Hi Eva! Visit went OK thanks for asking. I've had to have a chest x-ray and comprehensive blood tests and hope to start trying the drug tomorrow!

Actually the consultant wasn't who I thought he was at all - even tho' I've met with him twice before! Clearly having a some kind of brain freeze!

TBH I'm feeling very nervous/negative about the whole thing now as I will have to have weekly blood tests for about a month, possibly a liver biopsy and keep a careful eye out for side effects of which there are many! I'm doubting that the treatment's really for me tho' DH has convinced me to at least give it a try. Just hope it works...

Cruise Question 1:

DH is getting a new suit - he also looks lovely in a tux but I don't want him to wear one for our VR so (due to transatlantic luggage constraints) he may as well put the cash towards a made-to-measure... PS: well done with your diet!

Key West: Doing our own thing... Grand Cayman: Thriller Sand & Sea Adventure or the 7 Mile Beach Break... Cozumel: Tulum Ruins & Beach Tour... Castaway Cay: Parasailing...

Palo will be booked for us on Thursday evening as part of the VR. We will definitely make reservations for the Palo Brunch - not fussed about tea. We're going try getting on the waitlist at Palo's for one other evening too...

We will definitely book the Couples Stone Massage. I might book a few other treatments for myself (I'd like a facial) but I'm not 100% sure whether DH would want to.

I would love it if he got a black suit and then matched his shirt and tie to my dress. That would work great for formal and semi-formal night. Glad you have your excursions set. That's what I'm hoping to do with DH! Trouble is we both have different skin tones and what looks good on me doesn't necessarily look good on Richard! He always looks lovely in blue - but that's not a colour I tend to wear so we'll have to see...

I hope that no one is offended, but just had a peek at the logo for the 2012 London Olympic games, and it is not my cup of tea. Maybe they will revise it before then. Looking at it I had flashbacks to the 60's. Mike

I added my friend today to cruise with me in Sept WOO HOO. her DIS user name is luvalldisney. So at some point I am sure she will be popping in here.

No palo dinner. Considering a Palo brunch.

No Spa treatments for me, but luvalldisney will probably do the rain forest.

I dress sorta kinda formal <G> at least its formal for me LOL and then on semi formal night wear a red blouse with the black pants I wore for formal night. truly I am not a formal type person so for me what i do wear on formal and semi formal night is way out of character <G>

And no excursions.

Oh in talking with DCL today he stated all the 4 night cruises for the summer are totally booked because the MAgic is gone. Thankfully the 3 nights must not be totally booked as they announced fl res rates last week for the june cruise.

oh mike, i am excited about the two new ships. and can't wait to book a cruise on one of them whenever possible.

do you think they will send either the Magic or Wonder to West coast to stay out there? I think they may do this. And also may use one of the new ones for more nights like a 10 night for going around from here on the east coast. of course I would love to see one of the Disney ships be used for Alaska. I would for sure jump on going to Alaska with DCL.
