I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time...and meet lots of other fellow dissers :goodvibes I only wish we could have booked one of the repo cruises also. ;)

I'd actually got a quote for one of the Mexican May cruises...but then realized I should have requested a later date or even the East bound repo because of when this years cruise is. There'd be NO way I could pull our girls out of school this Sept...and next May (that would be 3-4 weeks in one school year:confused3 ). Anyhow...by the time I realized I didn't have enough time to ask our TA at Dreams to get a diffrent quote...in the end the prices have shot up WAY to high to even consider it now. The quote we got for the 7 night Mexican cruise in May was about $9500 for two cat 8's...with 7people (2 of which will be 9, one will be 14 and the rest adults)....so over all the price wasn't to bad BUT the time sucked.:confused3 Oh...who am I kidding....That price did suck :confused3 It's about $3500 more than our Western cruise that were booked on (same cat rooms...same # of people). Oh well...we'll enjoy the cruise this year...and maybe something else next year. I'm thinking with the prices of the Disney Cruises...it may be time to check out a new line.;) :rolleyes1

Disney is getting a little on the pricey side.

My wife is wanting to take our little family on a family cruise next year. One condition is that they can't sit at our table.:lmao: :rotfl2: Mike

Sharon, we will miss you on the cruise. But I am sure you will have a fabulous time on the repo cruise. I wish we hadn't promised to go on an Alaska cruise in 2008 with DH's family. We would definitely be on the west bound repo, if we could.

Mike, I feel that way about some of my family members too! :rotfl2:

 I am crying here!! The Bears seem to have decided not to show up in Miami. How disappointing. Congrats to the Colts, they played a better game, although it seemed to be a sloppy game played on both sides for awhile. Now onto Baseball!!! Go White Sox!! Hee Hee!!

Kathy the sun will come up today, and sports teams continue to break our hearts.

The good thing is that we are a day closer to the warm sun, crystal clear blue waters, and the good feeling sand sifting through our toes on Castaway Cay. Just imagine yourself on deck four in a deck chair, listening to the water rushing by, and having a good snooze. Mike

Congrats to the Colts!! I'm sorry Kathy. The Bears still deserve lots of congratulations to have even made it to the Super Bowl. You are right, both teams were playing very sloppy :confused3 Must have been nerves. It is crazy here in Indianapolis. Last night everyone was going downtown and running through the streets, celebrating. It got to the point where the police had to close roads and urge people to stay home! But it was all in good fun, nonviolent, thank goodness. People were going to the sporting goods stores (they were open late) and standing in line for an hour to buy the Super Bowl champions shirts, caps, etc. Today we are having a parade and celebration downtown, I think at 4pm.

Is Chicago doing anything to welcome the Bears home Kathy? They should. It is a huge thing to go to the Super Bowl. Hopefully the Bears will be given the recognition they deserve from the fans. Oh, and DH says you owe us a drink on the ship

Well, it is a whopping 1 degree here in Indy right now  I think the high is only going to be 6. I wish I was at Castaway Cay right now!

Hi all. I just booked and put deposit for the magic cruise Sept 22 7 night. I just returned this weekend from a 7 night Magic cruise. I had so much fun I just had to book again but this time it will be to celebrate my birthday.

At this point I will travel alone which is ok. I am very use to traveling alone and am not shy <G> So I end up talking to anyone I meet or see.

I have a mobility disablity so use a power chair to get around. Also will be bringing my Pal Mickey again on this cruise as I did last week. So Pal Mickey will be joining me about everywhere I go in his own customed outfits.

If you see a middle aged woman around in a power chair and a Pal Mickey on her lap please say hi. I would love to at least meet others even if just to say hi.

I can't believe how much I enjoyed the cruise last week and just wish I could have hidden under the bed and stayed on for another week LOL.

Look forward to meeting any of you possible and hope it will be another fantastic Disney Cruise for all.

Marsha (aka brady)

:woohoo:  :woohoo: Marsha (Brady) :goodvibes WELCOME!! Glad to hear you had such a great first cruise. I totally know what you mean about wanting to hide and stay on board.....it's hard to drag yourself off the ship on that last day. At least you now have another Disney cruise to look forward to.

I think we'll be planning a dis cruise meet...so we can all have a chance to say hi and meet face to face....it sounds as if it'll more than likely be on Saturday after boarding sometime. As we get closer to the sail date...and we get more dissers onboard we'll really work out the details/plans. That'll give everyone a chance to get to put a face to a dis name so when we do cross paths on the ship we'll have an idea of who people are.;)

Anywho....WELCOME  :woohoo:

Welcome Brady! I agree with you - everytime I get off the ship I wish I could just hide somewhere!

Marshmelo - Congrats to the Colts - at least we lost to a classy team and not a bunch of showboats! Things were pretty quiet here last night. I don't think they planned anything for the Bears today. I am not sure if they would have shown up anyways. Too depressing and way to cold!! Our high was 6 degrees with a windchill below zero! Brrr!! Oh and yes, your tell your DH, that the first round of drinks are on me!! :drinking1

Hi Marsha,
And :welcome: Sounds like the DCL bug took a big bite of you! He got us in 1998!:cool1:
You'll have a great time! And hang around... we'll be chatting more as the days go by.. and the cruise gets closer!
I think most of us are packed and ready to go NOW:lmao:

Welcome to the group!

Ann

thanks for the welcome. yes the DCL bug got me BAD!!!! Living in Orlando I visit WDW often as an annual passholder. I love Disney World and now DCL too.

I admit i hope florida resident rates come out as we get closer <G>

I am putting all my clothes I took on this cruise in back of closet and will bring those same ones again. i know sounds cheap but hey they outfits worked well, were comfortable, and will work again in Sept.

I hope I don't overpack though this time. :rotfl2: yeah right!!!

I had wanted to go last year for my birthday week but since had the Jan one already booked decided against it. But this year, who cares if already gone once, why not go again? Past few years I have celebrated my birthday at WDW so this year for me it will be special to do so on the Magic.

Anyone else going that has mobility difficulties and uses a scooter/electric wheelchair/power chair?

as time gets closer I will be bugging you all with my excitement. for now I will try to hold back :goodvibes

Just one question Marsha... How would we know that the clothes you bring are repeat clothes???:lmao:

You think you have it bad... We (Dh and I) are on the ship Sept8th to the 29th! ALL our clothes are repeats!!
:lmao: :rotfl: And "Over Packing "is my middle name!!!:rotfl: :lmao:

Im not sure about other assisted Disers... ... but what the heck do I know:confused3

So glad you are joining us!

LOL well good point. i should have kept my mouth shut and no one would ever had known i will be wearing repeat clothing LOL.

I travel for work about weekly, and never overpack. But for work I know if I forget something or need something I can run to a store and buy it. For the cruise though I didn't think if I forgot something that Disney would tender me to a nearby Target LOL

looking forward to meeting. now to get thru the summer grrrrrr and getting a new power chair in about a month HOORAY. of course with this new chair i will require a conversion minivan, so working with VR for their assistance. and if anyone knows about working with a state agency their process isn't the fastest around (I can say this as I once worked for the state of Florida, and state of Georgia). <G>

just had to say a special hi when i saw you are from Nashville TN. I am from Nashville many years ago. Born there many years ago LOL. Went to Belmont College (was still college when i went there)

I have a brother up near Paris TN.

I count myself as a true TN hillbilly country girl. Grew up on several farms working the fields, milking cows, etc...

as an adult I have lived primarily in GA or FL. But I will never forget my TN start.:cool1:

so Hiya.
